Short shift at work , so I charged up the camera and headed out to the park.

LOL HI

Did this once and listened to the usual piss and moaning of GPer's about the restraints.

Got a lap on Batman, the groupers throughout the park today were doing a great job keeping the stations in good order.

^This last pic will be the basis for a new SFGAmZone.com t-shirt I'm planning.

Hello Mr. Camera

Hello Random Ball

Couldn't do this with the old camera...

Had an incredibly comfortable ride on Wolf. If you lean your head forward enough in some areas you get little to no headbanging!

Met up with some friends, did Orbit, then headed to Demon. The flames on black train are looking real sharp!

Who let Michael Jackson on Demon? How the hell do shorts get dropped?

Got a lap on Eagle, apparently some people don't understand the concept of standing in the line to the corresponding seat row. Couple of people were standing against the station wall on red side, so thinking they were waiting for front row, we begin to head for 1:3 then they flip because they think we're cutting.

Warning. YOU WILL DIE!!!

I See You

Bucky Battle looks interesting, but I'm not writing home about it.

Apparently nobody can ride Triple Play since the stheek is all red.
http://amusementparkauthority.com/forums/trip_reports/jonrev/sfgam_7_28_2009/DSCN0136Small.jpg

The guy seemed to be taking FOREVER to get the ride going. He would shut the gate, start checking restraints, let more people in, then start checking the restraints again. When I worked there I was told not to do this.

I don't know... kinda caught my attention.

Oh, by the way. YOU ARE HERE.

Think they'd clean up the bottom of the top while they're up there painting, eh?

Whizzin' in the Forest
http://amusementparkauthority.com/forums/trip_reports/jonrev/sfgam_7_28_2009/DSCN0159Small.jpg

Did another lap on Demon. The lights in the tunnel are actually working again, and it looks like they slightly altered the light cycle.

Cups
http://amusementparkauthority.com/forums/trip_reports/jonrev/sfgam_7_28_2009/DSCN0166Small.jpg

Did a lap on Bull which was awesome as usual. No pics unfortunately.

Damn-near hurt my neck because we got the car spinning so fast. This was the first time since T2 that I was in pain on an amusement ride.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
http://amusementparkauthority.com/forums/trip_reports/jonrev/sfgam_7_28_2009/DSCN0174Small.jpg

Got three laps on it, AND an ultra-rare bonus ride after the "last cycle". First time I have ever seen them send one more train after the supposed "last ride". The supervisor came up early, so I wonder if that had something to do with it.

Looks like a great park. I'll be sure to consider the park for a visit on the sites midwest trip in 2011.

Great TR!

I wonder what the new attraction is?

Last year they pulled that same sign out in the same location and it ended up being a haunted house being set up inside the building (Space Shuttle America) for Fright Fest. Until I see a demo excavator I'm going to assume the same thing this year.

I was at SFGAm last wednesday and the place was PACKED! I have never been to a theme park that packed before. All we rode was Raging Bull, Viper, Giant Drop, Demon, Batman, and the Revolution. EVERY single line was outside the entrance (even American Eagle)! I would guess about 18,000 people there!

If lines were that long, there had to be way more than 18,000 people there.

You went during the last week the Read to Succeed tickets were valid. That week is always a nightmare.

I can guarantee you there were probably twice that number there.

I read a little on a couple sites. Seems to be, Space Shuttle America has been rumored to be demolished in the future. That future maybe the end of this year. So that sign may actually be true to it's meaning, not just Fright Fest.

The same hype happened about SSA coming down when that same sign came out last Summer, and it ended up being the haunted walkthrough for Fright Fest. I will believe it when I see it or when the park announces something.
