According to Screamscape, the cars for Hellevator have arrived at SFStL recently. While they are most likely there for spare parts, I'm not sure if I'd want to ride on a ride with parts being used from a dangerous ride.
The cars had nothing to do with the accident...

It was the design intamin had. The state stated that it shouldnt have been designed with the cables exposed. While this would have been fixable ont he ride so it could stay, its popularity would be scarred forever and people would fear it so it had to be removed.
^^Exactly...so the cars are perfectly fine.

If they even add a new drop ride ever it would be hard getting the ride popular.

^Thats not true. If SFKK would a S&S shot tower I could see it being very popular.

It would be awesome if we got a 4th Generation Intamin!

No lol. No more intamins. If they cant figure out how to design a safe ride then they dont need to be making them.

Intamin is safe. They just have a habit of being over-enthusiastic with new innovations and rush designs that aren't ready yet, and vreate lots of maintnance issues in some cases. They have a very good safety record.

haha they made the ride that cut the girls feet off, surely they would have put thouht into a safety mechanism to keep the cables covered

It was a accident...Every company has had one take place on one of there rides....Intamin is completely safe and so is every other company.

I know they're safe now. but I mean it wasnt just a accident, it could have been avoided. All intamin had to do was send them a maintenance book for the 1997 version which features how to maintain the cables better but instead they sent them a 1995 version with the ride which didnt include alot of inspection and maintenance guides for the cables. Another thing, in 2005 they sent them the wrong cables. Thats enough to make me not want to go back to their rides.

Completely agree. It was a freak and brutal accident.
About the cars: The cars are perfectly fine. It was the cable. If they send them to SFStL, thats great, it saves money. If you say the cars are bad that's like saying if a coaster seat ejects the track is bad. Also, those cables were frayed and should have been replaced way before that last day of operation.
S&S shot tower would work fine at SFKK. Most people who know about the incident still ride drop towers. S&S towers don't look or perform anything like the intamin drops.

^ Yes i'd much rather have S&S.
Actually... it was the Maientence Dept's fault the accident happened.

no maintenance dept was doing what the book said. It's intamin. If they had sent them a 1997 book for maintenance the accident wouldn't have occurred. Besides who makes a ride and knows all about it and has all the stats and infos on their computer and then sends them the wrong cables?

I think it was maintnance's fault for not catching it, but it all falls on Intamin. They designed the ride, and SFI wouldn't have sued them if there was any possibility of it being SFKK's fault.
Tiger, have you seen the pictures of that cable?
That thing was OBVIOUSLY not being maintained at all. Instruction book or not, you don't run a ride with materials in that condition. It was mainly the fault of SFKK's maintenance department.
What do you mean, NF? (Just wondering.)

It was for a game that happened about a month ago for Kentucky Kingdom Online day. I've deleted a bunch of them today with all the threads getting bumped and I've found more of them.
If you see any more random questions in threads, please click the report post button and I will take care of them
