2011 - Unknown - (10/13/10) A reader at Elitch Gardens tells us that it looks like some kind of construction or demoltion work was set to begin in the park near the Flying Coaster. Concrete in the nearby plaza area was already being removed and some digging has begin for something.

Where do you think the coaster will go? I think it should go to Wild Waves. They are in need of a new coaster!

I wouldn't be surprised if Flying Coaster was scrapped. Good news for EG though. (hopefully new ride)

Well it would be a good thing for Wild Waves... If you notice they only have like 2 roller coasters that are considered thrill/family... But they need another coaster... And I don't think the people at wild waves will care what it is... As long as its new to them...

(10/14/10) Our sources has confirmed to us that the new construction taking place near the Flying Coaster is actually a city project to work on water/sewage lines. However, we’ve also been told that as soon as that project is done, The Flying Coaster will also be removed from the park. It seems Zamperla will be coming in take the coaster back, likely to refurbish it and resell it to someone else. I’m told that they’ve already taken back the coaster’s cars.

So its not being re-located to another PARC Park... It is obvious they sold it back to Zamperla for them to sell it....

^^^ Its a Coaster at Elitch Gardens that has been SBNO since 2008

Zamperla is not selling it. Its going to Luna Park at Coney Island.

Well it says I’ve heard that the Flying Coaster from Elitch Gardens was purchased back by Zamperla with the intention to fix it up and install it at Luna Park in 2011.
So they are intending on selling it to Luna Park

Zamperla owns Luna Park, or has a share in it. Its like Europa Park, for Mack. I know Huss also has their own park.

ahhhhhh makes sense then... But Elitch Gardens still sold it... Thats all that really matters though..

In other news, another reliable source has checked in to say that the Flying Coaster from Elitch may actually not be going to Luna Park, however I’ve got to wonder if they may just be planning on reusing sections of it instead to perhaps get a break on the production costs. We’ll find out soon enough I guess. Hmmm maybe the zamperla buying it was just a rumor.. Maybe they are moving it to another park... Which opens back up where would this ride go?

I heard that Darien Lake was going to get two new rides for 2011 because the Season Pass went way up in price. There on sale for $65.99 each now but come Jan. 2011 they go up to $90.00 each

Man this is sad to see a coaster leave... No matter how rough or uncomfortable etc... it apparently is

The fact that they're not putting the track pieces on wooden planks says to me that this coaster is SCRAP.

Since its going to get completely redone they might just strip the metal of its paint and melt it down and re-fabricate it.. But that's just a speculation. They probably is just going to fix it up and and re-paint it..
