Well, I saw this on Screamscape today:

A bad rumor has been running around the ‘net lately claiming that Kentucky Kingdom would add a Tony Hawk’s Big Spin coaster for the 2010 season. Screamscape sources however have confirmed to us that this is just not true. I’ve been told that something is planned for the park next year, but it’s not a coaster.

First, I have a feeling by "running arount the 'net," they were talking about us.

Second, this is Screamscape, is there any truth to this?

Its also on TPR 2.

However what screamscape reports it usually turns out true

I don't see how Screamscape's "sources" are any more reliable than mine. THBS may not be coming in 2010, but I have absolutely no reason to doubt that one WILL be coming.

One is bound to come in the next 5 years. THBS is perfect for SFKK.

It probably doesn't mean anything, but one of the slides on SFKK's website has a picture of THBS on it. Just Saying

^Maybe they might not get THBS. But maybe they might want you think about Tony Hawk topic. Maybe they might get Tony Hawks Halfpipe

They don't LOOK fun. That's what i meant. it's just going up, getting zero g for a second, up another and get another zero g for a second.

They do look fun. Its a ground breaking ride. and its vekoma thats the only reason KK needs.

Look at TTD. all it does is go up and down and it takes less time then the whole big air ride would take.

Big air rocks you back and forth up one end and then up the other until its at max speed so you go up like 10 ft, free fall up the other end to 15 and then up the other side to 20. the max height is 197 so its more like a 2 minute ride, of multiple 100+ ft drops backwards and forwards. everytime you hit a new height the light bar on the sides light up more also, so its a interactive ride in a way for the guests.

I don't know, it doesn't seem appealing to me. Some rides have that appeal that don't look good, yet are good. Some have the opposite. Some have unappealing look, and they suck and visa versa.

This is unappealing to me. You think differently though and you can have your opinion

Austin

Well i cant find another ride that will force you to experience multiple forwards and backwards drops at over 100+ ft. It also says that the seats can rotate at the top of each tower adding to the excitement and innovation.

Well, there is flat like that. The Huss Frisbee.

Austin

no lol this is different. Very different. Its a coaster but your individual seats rotate to face backwards or forwards.

True True. But it is close to the same concept.

Austin

not really. one hangs down and provides a circualar motion, the other the station is ont he curved bottom portion and rocks you about 30-40 ft up each end every time and then you drop down straight down 2-6 times until its over, gradually reducing speed each time until your in the station again.

Well, its sort of close (please give me a break. LOL)

Austin
