Its been a slow week lately, except for those who live in Kentucky ;) but were back and ready to finish up some projects as we move into the final few months of the 2010 operating season for most parks. Seems like this operating season flew by!

Page Coding

Lately I've been making a push to eradicate all coding errors on our pages which will result in a slightly faster load and will make it easier on your browsers. Currently we have tested out the coding on 11 pages but once we finish the 11th page (part two of Kentucky Kingdom history) we wont finish this project until we finish the index and ride pages. Which isn't that big of a deal because the rest of the pages for the most part pass the test but use simplified code instead of XHTML which is the web standard for the most part. By comparison, our main forum page contains 2-8 errors while a similar test on TPR's forums resulted in 60+ errors. We might have a significantly lower amount of errors but I wont be satisfied until we completely wipe them out for the most part.

Index Hub

We will be working on making this page look more professional by replacing the current images with a re-sized version that is standard for all images.

What could it be?

Spelling Rule In Effect

This rule has gone into effect September 1st this past week and we are now enforcing it. We wont attack you if your post has one or two errors but we just don't want posts to look like a text message.

Other Projects

This week we will finish the test coding phase and then work on finishing out this round of park additions. FAQ's will be added over the course of this month as we determine what needs one.

Staff Hiring

We are reviewing all entries. We have alot of competition for our moderator position and we hope to announce the new member of our staff soon! We are looking for more applications for our Writer position also.

Whatever the Teaser is, I think it would put Amusement Park Authority on TOP.

Just a slight update, all 11 test pages have been re-coded to XHTML (took forever) but it should look a little bit more professional and integrates our pages into the site easier.

Also just to go along with this, the index hub has been fixed up and the pictures are all now a uniform size of 640x480

Thank you, but my Browser, Space Browser 4.0, already removes useless coding, and fixes it, only slowing down the Browser about .000001 of a millisecond. :bsflag:
