Ok so i was recently told we might be better off changing to a theme park fansite not just a SFKK fansite. Would you all support this switch?
To tell you guys the truth i think it might be a bit better. And we also have a few future plans in the work that would work with this alot better. Just wondering because i would have to switch the site over to a new domain and everything.

YES! I know the purpose was to be the only "real" SFKK fansite, but the way we are advertising, most of our members are from all over, and most of our current members have never been to SFKK.
I think we should assign people to make a page/section of the site for their home park, then we can try to well-represent theme parks from all over.

Hmm.. I like that idea.
While This will take some time due to the fact I go back to school on august 13th. I will give it a shot if enough people want to.
Give us some name suggestions to.

You should add one of the buttons and call it, "Hometown Park" where Nitrofan's idea works out. Since i am the cooliest and the bestest from NJ, i got SFGAdv!. What now sfguy!

I actually might just add a park index like TPR and have it include allt he aprk info and stuff and things like TPR has. Maybe have it include a feature like screamscape where they report it and we post it in the page for the park. just a thought lol.

I welcome the idea of it being a theme park fansite and forum, you could possibly get other members to contribute park history and maps from other parks around the nation..it also lets more and more people in on the fun. Great idea!

I'm sure we could have members submit things to be put up on the site, but member doing actual site work would be up to Tigerace.

I don't know how feasible this is, but I do think it would be really cool to add some sort of theme news page or a ticker of some sort to the front page. Secret plans for 2011? Geez. and to think this site has only been around for 4-5 days or so. jk.

an SFKK fan dvd? Thunder Run - The Musical? or to be more serious...a podcast? Getting people together on skype and discussing theme park news + coaster reviews and all that junk..that'd be pretty awesome.

Didnt know if anyone saw that on the other page
LOL no problem :P
IMO, switching to a regular theme park site is a TERRIBLE idea. Trust me, I've been working with some guys for years over at BrandonsCoasters.com, and though the site has made great progress, it just isn't very big. (You should join, though. ;))
SFKK has no other fansite, and if the content here is good enough, people will come to this site JUST BECAUSE IT IS THE ONLY ONE. Take a look at Kings Island Central...if they had had switched to a general coaster site in the beginning, they wouldn't be anywhere right now. However, since they stuck with a single park, their reputation grew, and that site is now the first place anyone looks when searching for information on KI.
Right now, you have absolutely no competition, so you are in a great position to grow. TPR, Coasterbuzz, Coaster-net, CoasterWarriors, Negative-G, and RCPro are way too much competition...trust me, it isn't worth the switch.
I don't care if you change it, but I mostly got on here to learn about the park.

hmm.. i see where you guys are coming from
My plan if we do indeed switch to a overall theme park site, similiar to TPR, would be to make it like TPR but better. They're great and all but I see room for improvement. Like i said above the park index pages for each park would include info that TPR has but maybe have a section for ride rumors like screamscape park history maybe.
But right now SFKKOnline isnt going anyway.

Freaking change it. That way I don't have to worry about copyrighted banners. ;)

lol they arent i talked with a professional. As long as we have a disclaimer that we arent affiliated with Six Flags and other major parks, we will be fine.
However I do need a new main banner

I am closing this thread now do to the fact SFKKOnline will be staying. In the future i might try my hand at a full theme park site but it wont take over SFKKOnline.
