Most of you all know about this planned celebration, but havent had all the details. As promised in the news update, here are all the available information.
Amusement Park Authority Online Day for this year will be held on July 27th (Tuesday). It will be an all day event and will have a few events. We moved Online Day from December to the 27th because one year ago on the 27th, we began operation as a website under the name Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom Online. Next year it will be moved up further to June 1st to mark one year of Amusement Park Authority.
During this Online Day we will feature the following activities and changes:
Chat session: Beginning at 8:00 PM EST we will meet in the chat room and talk and get to know one another. We have been meaning to do this for a long time and we are finally ready to do it!
Site Improvements: This is a continuous process but to symbolize the staff's effort and the importance of reaching this milestone we have rolled out site-wide improvements. Beginning with the Arcade we restarted plans to get the arcade up to 400 games. We set the goal of 300 for this event and additions will continue long after Online Day is over.
After the Arcade we improved the Park Index. Every park has received the new features we announced a few weeks back. While working through the improvements I found and fixed 50-60 link errors, and updated information. On the international parks the official website link was replaced with a English version of the website if there was one available. The new features if you don't remember were Ticket Information and Fan Web Site.
Following those major improvements we are working to update the navigation bar. The quiz link will be removed and a link to contact us will be added. This will be done by tomorrow.
New Quiz: We will have one quiz based upon the history of the site through the past year. We might also add a quiz like Nitro ran on and off throughout the year.
Limited Edition Award: You will have the chance to get this limited edition pin for free on Online Day. All you must do is participate in the quiz!

WDW PTR: I will begin posting my trip report on Tuesday and will continue posting as I finish the sections. There are 5 parts in total (Parts 1-4 is the parks, part 5 is Downtown Disney, dining and the drive to and from)
Rule Change: We have made a draft version of the new Spelling/Grammar rule. It is pretty fair but does provide for punishment. We based this rule on multiple similar rules from other sites. The new rule will go into effect on the 27th.
With that said theres some things to look forward to in the next few days. We are also looking at some new ideas for games and major additions to the site (not the index this time haha).
If you need any more information please contact us and we will help you out.
