I'm finally back from Disney World and it was one of the best trips I have ever taken. Lot to catch up on and do now though. Just be looking for my upcoming PTR of my vacation.
Amusement Park Authority's Anniversary
In four days we will be celebrating the sites one year anniversary. To clear up some confusion, I created the site as Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom Online on July 27th, 2009. Next year however we will move the anniversary date back to June 1st for Amusement Park Authority and the one on the 27th will not happen anymore. We are planning a lot of different things and surprises for this event and hope you guys have a great time during the event. It will begin July 26th (Monday) at midnight and will end on July 27th (Tuesday) at midnight. During this event you will have the chance to win Vb Experience points that you can use towards the purchasing of some cool items, get a special award just for logging in, and play some new games and quizzes. We are planning a chat event also with a time yet to be set. More information as we finish the planning and preparation.
New Affiliates
We now have another new affiliate; Great American Thrills. The site is owned by our own member David. It is a pretty new site but has potential. Check them out sometime (http://liftsifter.com).
2010 Survey
We have received everyone's and we are now analyzing them looking for things to change and improve on. The last big problem left to be dealt with is rules on grammar and spelling. We recognize this is a major issue that will be corrected but we don't exactly want to force this onto people. You know like if you make a lot of mistakes and etc you get a infraction, I feel that would be too tough, we just don't want to alienate our members. We are however looking at various sites to see what there rules are on spelling and grammar.
News from Vacation
Now that I am back from Disney I have a lot of new things to do that I couldn't do before, such as something like a brochure spotlight like News Plus Notes does. I came back with a park map from all the Disney parks, Downtown Disney and Disney Quest along with brochures for Sea World/Aquatica/Discovery Cove, Wild Waters Water Park, Wet 'n Wild Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa, Six Flags Over Georgia, Nascar Speedpark, and Lake Winnepesaukah. At the parks I took 1585 pictures, and shot over 40 minutes of video so be looking for that PTR; Lots of great pictures in it.
Vacation
Once the anniversary celebration ends on the 28th I will be headed down to Green River Lake for a few days I will probably be back before August 6th since I have Senior Registration that day. I'll take the camera but there's not any parks in the lakes area so don't expect any pictures of parks etc, actually don't expect that many pictures at all lol. Sorry to leave so quickly, this came up the day after I got home and it will be the only time I have to go to the lake.
That just about sums up the news of the site from the last few weeks. I'll have another update on the 25 or 26th to list more of the details of the events of the anniversary celebration.
