So the small area wont be used nor Twisted Twins. Mile High and the Zepplin will be open, and also the area were the dragster cars were. So my guess is that some of the rides will be in the dragster spot from the smaller side of the park.

also, the pools are in the picnic areas, so maybe the picnic areas will be moved

This could change once the lawsuit is settled and they work out a possible deal on the land from Six Flags which I'm sure they are wanting to get this year.

It would be a disappointment if they cant get the land purchased. I only figure that TT wont be run in 2011 because portions of it run onto parcels of land Six Flags owns around the Northwest Territory.

It also looks as if the childrens park will take over Belgian Village.

No, Ed prolly just get rid of it, re tracking would trains and etc will prolly cost half the amount of a new coaster. Mile High Falls was fully own Six Flags land and on the map it said hes operating that section of the park.

The kids area maybe around the coursal and the roller skater. He could put the rides also in the place of those restrooms behind the International Coursal and also in that old food stand in front of Mile High Falls that Six Flags kept closed, or let employess use.

Theres also that empty area just to the right of those bathrooms. Hopefully he can manage to fit all the current kiddie rides over in Belgian with the exception of Acme factory, and Bigfoot. It would be a really nice little area.

Might as well say were still getting the Waterpark Expansion that we was post to get from Six Flags but they closed the park down. Were still getting that so we still can talk about what water slides and stuff were going to get. We just know it wont be called Bonzai Beach. This is a smart move because the waterpark has been popular and thats a good way to raise the attendance up and then invest and add a Major New Coaster and buy more land to expand the park out. I like this idea the park really does got a bright future. The only thing there really is to worry about is Six Flags selling the land back to the park and who owns the rides.

My biggest concern pertains to the rides located in that smaller section. Some of KK's tops rides are located there. Breakdance which is by far our best flat is there, RoadRunner which is a popular family coaster is located in that facinity, the classic Greezed Lightin, and lets not forget about the Thrill Park Theater. I haven't heard anyone discuss what's goong to happen with the simulators.

breakdance will most likely be relocated somewere else in the park. I could see bluebeards bouty over by mile high falls. Some rides could be located were chang used to be. He did say their will be a new kiddie area, so he must be moving all of the kids rides over to the roller skater area.

The thrill park theater to me isn't really a major ride factor. Road Runner could also be relocated in changs old area. Greezed Lightin should be traded for a boomerang

Well we did have a Boomerang back in the day. It was called Vampire, unfortunately in 1998 it was closed down and shipped off to SFNE due to multiple breakdowns. :(

The real question is not if we can we relocated the attractions, but rather when will they be relocated?

This Fall or Next spring as soon as the weather permits which if it follows recent trends of not snowing often could allow work through the winter. Also have to keep in mind some things might not get relocated for 2011 but may get work done while in their current location. As for a boomerang, I would love it, if it received the new train models.

End of july we should learn some about what rides are staying and going.

Well I don't think both GL and a Boomerang. IMO I love GL for two reasons it's fun and second for the nostalagic value it obtains. Of course while riding a Boomerang I do have a better time but they do not posess that feeling of nostalgia but due to the fact that only a die hard coaster fanatic like my self really cares or even knows about the history behind GL. Unfortunately my vote is that if we can only have one then I wish it to be Boomerang.

Hmm.. Personally I have nothing against GL, its fun but it just doesnt last long enough and has a history of braking issues that cause alot of wear and tear, so I would rather get a boomerang because you can actually get a smooth ride out of it and I never got to ride Vampire haha.

It's the same as any Boomerang.

I know but still I dont feel like going to SFNE to get the actual credit. Plus I would love to see how the new trains ride.

hmmm i don't think boomerangs are rough... And plus the boomerangs now don't break down as much...

Ed's company is Kentucky Kingdom Restoration Group. It's keeping the name.

I think if people show that they want Kentucky Kingdom to stay, Ed will see this and keep the name.

well anythings possbile, if he change the name (which he said) everyone will still call the park Kentucky Kingdom.

I doubt he'd change the name. I know people in Colorado still call Elitch Gardens, Six Flags.

I also thought the names Ed (or however he had make the names) did a good job, Terror to the second power, Chang (meaning long in Chinese because it was the longest stand up coaster), Thunder run, Flying Dutchman, etc

Austin

People at Darien Lake never called it six flags... Everyone including me called it Darien Lake because A) it was shorter and B) never really like the name with the six flags in front of it.

well no one here in louisville calls kentucky kingdom, Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, or Six Flags, for many people or teens I hang with. We all just call it The Kingdom.

Truth Seeker

Really I usually hear it called either Six Flags or KK. Of course now that you mention I believe I have heard people call it the Kingdom.

sccard01

they used to call it The Kingdom back in the 90s. They even promoted the park calling the pharse "The Kingdom."

I have to disagree I hear people still call Darien Lake, Six Flags. Matter of fact I a girl thought the park was still owned by Six Flags that I talked to this year.

Hmm never heard that. But i kinda laughed (it was this year in line for Ride of Steel) They were talking about how they had to drop the Superman and Six Flags name because Six Flags stopped sponsoring them. I kinda wanted to turn around and say "um NO Six Flags sold the park not stopped sponsoring the park, the park never got money for using the Six Flags name to support the park. When they were in massive debt they sold the park along with 6 other parks. And trust me we are better off with the new owners" (no offence to those SF fans. Though most of the people on this site probably hate SF now for ditching SFKK)
