I haven't heard too much about this other than that there have been construction markers spotted at Canada's Wonderland and people are saying it's going to be big. Anyone care to speculate?
I heard about this too, and people are are saying a floorless coaster.

That would be pretty cool. After Hydra, this may be a unique model too.

What is the amount of space we're looking at for this coaster? If it's at least decently sized, this coaster could be anything really... GCI, launch coaster, B&M Floorless, B&M Invert, even a Dive Machine if they wanted!

It's hard to find out exactly where they are, but I did a little digging and it appears that they are in a big open field near Vortex and an open field near Planet Snoopy.
People are saying they think it will be either a floorless coaster near Vortex or a Giga going from the field near Vortex to Planet Snoopy.

...A giga?

giga sounds to much for a park that already has a B&M Hyper.... But i hope its floorless! cause if it is then i am def going to CW in 2011!!!! #1 i hav not been to the park and #2 i really really really want to ride a floorless! have never been on one :( the only type of B&M i have been on is inverted, stand-up, and hyper (DIAMONDBACK FTW)

^You NEED to get on a floorless. They are my favorite type of B&M because they're all smooth and intense.
...A giga?
I kind of questioned that too, but it's a little more likely after Intimidator 305. I saw that speculation on CW Mania. I think a florless is the most likely.

I KNOW!!! im in love with it and i hav never been on one :D
I almost went to SFNE this year... but once i heard they started advertising literally on the rides i was like screw this im going to Dorney or Hershey! and i chose Hershey!!!! <3 I know Dorney has a floorless but i feel i need to go back to Hershey cause 2 coasters have been added since i have been there! and both i would love to go on!!

^ Advertisements on trains made you choose not to go to a park you were previously planning on going to?
I just love how everyone wants a giga now (coughgadv.comcough) because of Intimidator 305. No one even thought of the realistic possibility of a 300+ ft. tall coaster until now... But I guess it's what happens with every new type of coaster; Aquatrax, Blitz, Pre-Fab...

Yeah i just don't like how low they stooped this time... and also no body wanted to really go there.. They would of rather went to Hershey instead

I'm quite confident that lots of people will still go to SFNE even with the ads. You and a handfull of other enthusiasts will probably be the only ones who don't want to go there.

and its my decision like im choosing to avoid I305 as much as possible because i can see someone dieing on that ride soon. And about I305 i don't like is the massive G's on the first turn and the sharp banking.. the sharp banking was good on maverick but when your doing it at more then 80MPH i think not...

I know it's your choice, I just think you're by far in the minority. Why do you think someone's going to die in I305? If someone does die, it will be because they chose to ignore the warnings.

i feel like someone is going to get a neck injury from the ride.... idk in my gut its saying wait a few years... i know i hate rides that have been trimmed but i feel this one needs those new trims it has... plus its not like i am able to get out to KD for a few years anyways... idek if i am going to be able to go to hershey this year... we were decided on where we were going on vaca this summer untill my granpa (which my grandparents come with us and camp with us ext..) says no he does not want to do PA again.. and then my sister is saying she wants to go to atlanta because of the coca cola factory... and then Carowinds is tempting me with there new B&M... So basically we wont know wut we are going to do untill like august... which is like 2 weeks before our vaca...

So according to Screamscape, those markers by Vortex are just to measure water levels for the lake. Bummer.
Latest rumors are suggesting Canada's Wonderland getting a second Stratosoar.
Here's the photo that they put on there Facebook.

Wow, this project seems to have been overlooked but it looks like CW is getting something nice as well. Sounds like a flat ride... probably the Starflyer idea thrown into Canada.

Its definitely Stratosoar. I don't even know who Cedar Fair thinks they are fooling besides the GP who don't really look into announcements that much. They might as well announce it already.

For Cedar Point, it's obvious, but Canada's Wonderland really isn't obvious at all. Really the only thing backing CW getting Stratasoar are rumors.
And there are various reasons why they wouldn't announce an expansion early. Expansion announcements usually effect stock values, and they have a specific day in mind that they want those effects to happen.

Well why would they buy a domain name for a ride if it was only going to be used at one park?

True... True... Because i don't see any of the other CP ride names a trademark of cedar fair... well not that i think so...

Do you mean a Web Domain or a trademark for a name?
I'm going to assume you meant trademark. Didn't BGT file several trademarks for possible names for their 2011 coaster?

I really don't think both parks are getting the same ride. Even though most people wouldn't even know there is another just like their ride, CF won't hype up two rides at the same time and let them be the same. It might just be an Intimidator/Intimidator 305 situation (similiar name/theme, different ride).

WindSeeker
Canada’s Wonderland takes excitement to new heights in 2011, with the addition of WindSeeker – a 30-storey swing ride.
Towering high above the Park, WindSeeker will ascend 301 feet (91.7M) and spread its metal arms, swinging riders at a 45-degree angle at speeds up to 50 kilometers per hour. WindSeeker will feature 32 two-person swings that will provide riders with a sensational feeling of weightlessness as their feet dangle at heights never experienced before at Wonderland.
“We are continuing to change the landscape at Canada’s Wonderland and with the addition of our new thrill machine WindSeeker, we will be 70 feet (21.3M) higher that our previous tallest rides Drop Tower and Behemoth”, said Raffi Kaprelyan, Vice President and General Manager of Canada’s Wonderland. “For riders that are looking for extreme height and intense thrills, this ride will be a must-do for 2011”.

WindSeeker will be the 68th ride at Canada’s Wonderland, giving the park one of the greatest selections of rides in North America. Construction will begin in the fall of 2010.

In all honesty, that doesn't look to exciting. The thrill of the star fliers are the chains and thinking that, "how is this chain going to hold me up?" I don't see the thrill in this.

The first diagram looked pretty real with the background looking real and the roads and city looking like a picture.
Anyway, it may not look real fun, but being on a swing going around gives me the thought, how bad are the winds up there? I mean, it's going only 30 MPH, but at 301 feet high, the winds could be more brutal.

I agree, that I think the star fliers look much more thrilling, I'm sure these Windseekers will still be good fun, but I think CF could have done better.
Plus I don't know if it's just me but the colors of the towers are just really really ugly.

Quickly after opening, Windseeker closed once again. According to Screamscape, it finally reopened and has been running fairly reliably for the past few days. Let's hope that the last of the issues are fixed!
