Sunday was the last day of Spring Break for most schools, so my friend and I decided not too many people would be loserish enough to go to SFMM on your last day off (except us of course) and took a visit (I needed to get my pass anyway). It was also cold and rainy, which is like the end of the world to SoCalians, so there weren't many crowds to deal with.

With all the black out talk going around about i305, I read that tensing up can prevent you from blacking out...which makes sense. It works. Now I can enjoy the death helix!

Despite my semi-negative ride comments, it was a great day. I've just ridden SFMM's coasters too many times...

It really blows my mind that Six Flags has barely started construction on 2/3 of their major additions a little over a month before they were supposed to open.

Nice TR. I just noticed this but, what are the handles for on top of the B&M track on Batman? It doesnt seem like its something for the workers to hold onto because I dont see a way up there, another thought was to be used by the crane to install the track?

About the Dance Coaster, I wonder if it's a delay because of the damage the salt water did to the electrical, painting and structure. i mean it was probably in really bad shape after sitting in standing water for all that time so it may have been sent in piece by piece to Vekoma to find and fix problems and do the painting of it.

That may be the case, but track has been on site for at least 3 weeks now and they haven't even started work on the footers for the ride. Footers for the ride could have been poured months ago.

^ AND before it was brought to SFMM, in was refurbished in Texas...so there really isn't any reason they shouldn't have started by now.

As long as it opens in time, I guess (which it will).

^ Nope. I've ridden X2 20 times (yes I keep count) but the farthest back I've gotten so far is row 5. I rode X2 in an outside seat ONCE, and it was in the front row, and it was way too rough...so I don't even want to try the back (I'm sure I will eventually, though). Row 1, inside seat, please. :)

OMG!!! You are Soooooooooooooo missing out, seriously you don't even know how awesome X2 is in row 7 on the inside seat, It's just so much more intense and it really is the smoothest spot on the entire train, always always always sit on the stairs side of the station (on the left side of the train when your sitting on it in the station) The other side is just like messed up, I don't know whats wrong with it, but for sure sit in row seven on the stairs side inside seat, godliest X2 experience ever!!!!

I've taken this advice from my friend Jodi Malone, if you don't know who that is, well I'll just say she's been on X/X2 OVER 700 TIMES! Been riding since day one, so I think that's enough to trust that she knows everything about that steel masterpiece!

Try it once, and I'm certain that you'll be amazed! X2 is either a front row or last row ride, if you ride in the middle then that's just like suicide.. seriously, you wouldn't wanna be dead would you? Plus in the front it's a bit shuffley and shakey at times, X2's drop in row 7 is the absolute best drop in the entire world (Yes better then EL TORO's) It feels like your being yanked down to the ground by the grasps of god himself.

My theory is that the ride moves fast and steady enough in row 7 so that the "seat flips" are smoother and much more enjoyable, I'm sure you've noticed that in the middle of the train the seat flips have this shaky back-and-forth dragging feel to them... row 7 has none of that... promise... but hey what do I know? (alot about X2 actually ;))

Next time your at Magic Mountain try X2 in said seat and you'll fall in love ;)

I'll definitely remember row 7 and try it. What is row 8 like?
