Its finally that time of the year again for the NFL to kick off its season un-officially with the 75th NFL Draft from New York Center! Just before the 2010 NFL Draft kicks off I would like to run a Mock Draft contest that will be different than our previous contests and will put you in control of multiple teams and allow you to play as a teams "General Manager".
Since we got this started a bit late you wont have as long to plan out your "draft strategy" but next year we will start on April 1st no matter what.
The rules are pretty simple:
Be present at the draft times
Have your pick posted in the selected draft times
If your unable to post PM me your pick for each pick and a secondary or even a third for each pick in case your 1st or 2nd pick has been taken already
Try to keep the picks realistic to team needs but we do want you to have fun
Trading up or down is allowed. You can trade players and picks out side of the first round
Post your answer to the tiebreaker to determine the winner in case of a tie
You can't change your selection. We are going by your first selection at each pick
You can trade teams but these trades must be finalized by me (most likely all of these will be approved)
Sign up before April 14th (Next Wednesday)
I am shooting for a draft date of the 19th through the 21st. During each draft day there will be a "Draft Tracker" thread for the GM's to post there picks. Once picks are made I will put it in the first post of the thread. We will be providing links from walterfootball.com to give you all the tools you need to make your decisions.

Those should give you a great source of opinions and information on what teams need.
Now onto the other details. Each person will be in charge of multiple teams as I said before. I am going to try to give people teams that don;t pick right after or before each other so that it is more fair. The number of teams each person gets will depend on how many people sign up. I dont anticipate 32 people signing up so until that happens everyone will have at least 3+ teams to manage. Some teams have 2 first round picks so that does mean you have to plan picks for both of them also as well as your other team. For example of what im talking about: If 4 people sign up each person will get 8 teams so that its balanced.
Scoring & How We Determine the Winner
For the first 10 picks they will be worth 10 points because they are easier to pick. Picks 11-20 will count as 20 points. Picks 21-32 will count as 30. At the end of the NFL Draft's First Round on April 22nd I will add up all the points for each player from their correct picks. The overall score will determine the winner, and if there is a tie the tie breaker will be worth 10 points. Who ever is closest to the tie will be awarded the 10 points.
Other Details
As we get picks in from each player for their team we will announce the pick live through the site using our announcement system. We will also use that announcement to alert other players to post their next pick. During the official Draft we will announce the actual picks the same way as sort of a live blogging event.
And one final addition:
