Hello All, I'm back......

Anyway, This time we went to Silver Dollar City!!

Here some Raw Footage of Wildfire, watch it if your into that sort of thing ;)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l07lvtRWuE0

So... This is a VERY well themed park, so if your into that sort of thing then you must go here! However I myself am much more of an "Ride" fan then a "Theme" fan. With that said Silver Dollar City wasn't really the most amazing thing in the world to me, but it is a very nice place for what it is.

I feel that if they used the same amount of themeing on the actual coasters as they do on the rest of the park then I would be Impressed, don't be fooled into thinking that the coasters have some amazing theme because quite honestly they really don't, and there coaster theming is about up to par with Cedar Fairs "Maverickstylethemeing" Really nothing special.

But then again what do I care? I'm just here for the B&M and what a B&M it was might I add!! I feel that Wildfire is definitely one of my favorite B&M's I've been on, it has a great mix of everything that I love in a coaster, Good air on the drop, intense inversions, and some pretty fun turns not really seen on other B&M loopers, overall I was very happy with Wildfire

Powderkeg, the parks S&S launched coaster was also super fun and packed with ejector airtime and a pretty impressive launch. I have to admit Powderkeg was quite a thrill especially in the front row (Sit in the front not the back, I tried both and the front is much better!)

Picture Time :)

If your wondering what's with the strange looking B&M sit down trains, the story is : Wildfire was originally intended to be floorless, but they ran short on the budget for the dropping floors and the trains were converted to sit down trains... the other B&M sit downs should get these trains.

Nice update. You didnt happen to be there the day they was filming was you?

I really want to go SDC sometime but its a bit out of range right now lol. Oh and you've never been to Dollywood before? They got a pair of those tower rides up by Mystery Mine. Themed to something about a logger.

Great TR!

Can you explain more how Powder Keg works, what the ride course is like, what it looks like, etc. ? It is very hard to find pictures if it, and I see a launch, what appears to be a lift hill, a rollback hill, and a transfer track. I just don't understand how it all comes together.

I believe he went to the park after the air date of the show.

well at the begging the whole train goes onto this sort of "transfer track" thing which moves the train to the launch area, this is where the rollback looking track is... Im not sure if the train has ever rolled back but there is a spike for it to roll back onto, so the train launches, you get basically some transitional turns and a few nice airtime hills, an over banked turn and then the train reaches the lift hill.... this was part of the old water coaster type thing that once stood in the spot powder keg is in. So anyway they used the old lift to make the ride more interesting or something, im not sure... and basically when you drop off the lift there's one helix and your in the break run...

I would suggest watching a pov on youtube but I hope I helped a little

That helped, thanks. I found a POV and it makes me wonder why S&S doesn't build more rides like that. It looks like a lot of fun, and it could have quite a bit of airtime. I'd like to see Six Flags get into S&S and Premier.

Actually Powder Keg was a water coaster transformed into the coaster it is today by S&S.

yeah, that's what i was talking about earlier...

Anyway It's a pretty kick ass little ride which deserves more credit then It gets, It's like Steel Eel at SeaWorld San Antonio, no one ever talks about it, yet its really good!
