This thread needs to get revived a little bit. Not that it was dead, but I love video games and the such..so yeah. (mod change this to a videogame general discussion? that'd be cool...maaaaybe?)

I just finished Mirrors Edge, it was way cool.
and..Bioshock is pretty much my favorite game ever..but i'm pretty sure the sequel is going to suck.

I don't remember that one...its been so long since i played it last...and the entire half life series is amazing, i'm anxiously awaiting HL2:episode 3...its taking forever, but...i can wait, i guess.

Portal isn't exactly an episode game per se, although it did come in the Orange Box. There are Half Life references in Portal, but it can stand alone as its own game.

Portal is by far the most original and entertaining game to come out this decade...that's right, i think its THAT good.

I never got the episodes games for Half-life lol. We got Half-Life 2 free from this guy at our church.

and you should totally play the episodes it continues on with the story and makes it even more engaging and interesting, the orange box is a really great way to get both in one fell swoop...go get em'

I'll think about it. I'm stressed right now with my money. I'm going to be spending nearly 500-600 on my own on a 1000 dollar renovation of the basement to turn it into my office. and then ill be spending around 150 to upgrade my house and my grandmas house to CFL and other Green features to help save them money. then Im helping them fund rebuilding their shed int he backyard which is falling apart and we need it to be re-done so we can move stuff from a storage shed to that shed to save money. then ill be helping pay for their new roof they need.

i only got 3800 in the bank lol. I'll try to get them but im low on disk space. Part of that 1000 dollar renovation for my office includes a brand new 850 dollar Dell so that would take care of it for me lol.

I don't think its weird, Halo can get kind of mindless and boring at some points during the campaign. I like the multiplayer...just not the rude and arrogant 10 year olds who play it. oh well.

Guitar is harder on Guitar Hero than Rock Band, but Rock Band is a lot better.

Rollercoaster Tycoon pretty much is the king of all Park Building Simulators. didn't SF have a deal with them for RCT2? I've been playing Borderlands lately...and..its like Diablo for me all over again. I can't stop collecting loot and leveling up...seriously, I think i just failed a history test because of it....

I recently went back and started playing Frequency again, which I believe is the very first game Harmonix ever put out. Maybe it's just me, but I think Frequency kicks major tail.

Not just you, frequency and amplitude are two of my favorite games of all time. Rock Band : Unplugged for the PSP tries to do the same thing, but just...isn't as good. Man, I miss those games.

Like everyone else I've been playing Modern Warfare 2 and I'm pretty much blown away by everything in the campaign mode. great stuff!

Anybody playing anything now...that's worth playing. I finished Mass Effect 2 not too long ago. I was a little late on it, but REALLY great game.

I bought L.A. Noire. but haven't had time to start it yet, but i'm super stoked. I'm all about less action shoot em' up stuff and more think and solve mystery stuff.

I've been playing Black Ops online a little, but I'm hoping Target's 20% discount on all PS3 accessories includes the PS Move. I just want to get it so I can get Socom 4 and that one gun controller that where you hit the bottom where the mag would be it auto reloads. Plus I'm hoping MW3 supports the Move haha.

As for other types of games, I did play Shell Shock Live on armorgames.com a little. You have to figure out how hard shoot, where to aim etc.

Yeah, we had played it a couple of times together on split screen and i'm pretty terrible at it. but...i might do better if I just had a whole screen to myself to do it.

I'm always up for some single player campaign..i'm not really so much into multiplayer stuff.

Yeah, most people I know just buy it for the multiplayer which is pretty good. But I would be pretty lost if I didn't do single player.

Yeah, I know a lot of people who are multiplayer only...the only game I really got into the multiplayer with was Bioshock 2, and that was only for a couple of weeks. and really only because it had more to it than just shooting and killing each other for points...although that was part of it too.

I haven't played Black Ops since May. I think I have about 2 days played on it.
For comparison, 5 months after Modern Warfare 2 came out, I had near 11 days played. (Right now, I think I'm at just over 12 days which says a lot about that game ;))

Now I'm back to playing Halo Reach (<3) as my main game with tons of secondary games that I alternate between (Skate, Portal, Guitar Hero, etc.)

But Black Ops was a better game than MW2. A more relevant story, better play, better online and Zombies! However, MW3.. now thats gonna be the shit. haha

I liked MW better than MW2 for some reason the sequel..lacked something? I don't know..while I was playing it, it was pretty amazing but...you know..now its pretty unmemorable to me.

Halo Reach multiplayer is another one of those games where I do play it every once and a while. Mostly for the social aspect, of course. I don't even have any of the new maps to try and play any ranked games or anything...

I'm sure some of you guys have seen the Wii U..right? Anyone excited?
I think it looks like it'll be interesting. Even though it won't use a DVD or Blu Ray format for it's games...which is odd.

I wish it would use a Blu-ray. I'm trying to get my family to adopt blu-ray but right now I'm the only one who can play it lol. PS3, Computer (but the VGA monitor with 720p kills most movies.. I need a new one haha) and my laptop (I love the fact I now have a amazing portable player :D)

I'm definitely buying the Wii U. I like the new screen in the controller so people can watch TV while you still play.

I think single player on MW was better but online was decent. MW2, the single was above average but not better than MW but the online play was really awesome.

haha, we've been getting blu rays for when we get a player and an HDTV. It's really sad that dvds are phasing out. but blu ray quality is so awesome, that...I think i'm okay with it. haha.

Yeah, i got the PC version for MW2 and Black Ops along with PS3. I swear online with Black Ops isn't even fun. Some servers make their own rules up. Like you havet o crouch the entire game, and they pass it off as "tactical", and you cant run or stand ever. PC on MW2 it was just straight up games. PS3 online stayed the same on both though.
