Last Sunday I went over to Knott's for a few hours to get some rides in and take pictures. While Xcelerator was closed, I still enjoyed a fun day of no lines.

That's kind of what I think when I see pictures of it. Fun, but for being such a major park and being in SoCal, you would expect the coaster selection to be a bit better. I bet the park is really suffering without Xcellerator.

Back to Knott's, I'm sure you've all heard the ranting of Cedar Fair taking over and ruining the park. This is partially true. Knott's had a lot of charm, and actually wasn't bland and boring like your typical CF park, and now it is. But can you really blame Cedar Fair? People aren't as entertained by some themed shops and an old dark ride anymore. Coasters and new rides are what bring the money in these days...so it isn't really their fault. I give Knott's more credit than most because of this. About the coaster collection, that isn't much of their fault either. KBF is actually a very small park, and they're going to need to start getting creative (actually, they already have) to add more rides.

Knott's looks like somewhat of a clean and nice park. Suck Xcelerator's launch cable basically blew up. I wouldn't mind going here, just for Xcele and Sliver Bullet. Both look really fun.

I wish... If only I didn't lived less than 2500 miles away. :( (I have been to SFMM though) It looks like an awesome event though. Maybe at some point in the future our site can work something like that out at SFKK.

Anyway, I'll be going to Magic Mountain the next day to brighten my spirits! I love SFMM!

It is an amazing event (I went last year). That'd be great to see something like that with Kentucky Kingdom Online, too bad it wouldn't be any good for me though...I guess I'm about the same distance from SFKK that you are from SFMM.

Actually, there is very, very small chance Xcelerator will be open in 24 days. Apparantly the website lists the ride closed until the end of February, but it isn't always accurate and a lot of what the ride needs to get going again is finally being worked on.
