It has been rumored for a while that BGE would get a new country, Spain in Drachen Fire's old spot. The rumor included a B&M Flyer and a drop tower. I thought this rumor didn't have enough proof before, but with Big Bad Wolf's removal, I think it might have some truth.

All discussion of Spain and Big Bad Wolf's removal goes here.

Sad BBW is leaving -.- I never got to ride it, also because suspended coasters like that are my favorite lol.

Wish i had gotten to ride it now. The ride that replaces it has some big shoes to fill lol.

I can't believe they're removing BBW. That's just horrible: I loved that ride. -_- At least I got to ride it last month before this happened...

I knew BBW eventually had to go but it is sad. A flyer and Drop Tower would be great for them. Yet, El toro (and Nitrofan might agree with me here) would fit great in that area. SFGAdv themed El Toro well and Spain would be perfect and way better than Plaza Del Carnival. Lets hope that the Spain area, if it works out, is big for a good flyer and nice and tall drop tower. Of course there is gonna be some nice spanish show and resturant added and possibly a flat, but the flyer and tower would make the area.

^As much as I love El Toro, I don't think the side of a hill is the best place for it. While a flyer would be cool on the side of a hill, I'm not sure it fits the Spain theme very well.

Well now that BBW is gone (RIP), it's time to start speculating again. I wonder what is going to happen now with the possibility of the Busch parks being sold. Some are hoping that another company will buy the parks and reopen BBW!

No, they are scraping all of BBW's track. They said it's retired for good. It won't be Brett Farve and come back to a park in a year or two.

Has anyone heard any news on this? I hope it didn't die once Blackstone bought the park. BGE really needs a new coaster right now after BBW's removal.

Yeah I could see Spain being the new area also. That would stand out the most I think.

According to the Screamscape, Busch Gardens may choose to renovate Oktoberfest (Germany) instead of adding the new country. Anyone have any opinions?

I have never been to BGE, but it sounds like this would be a good thing for the park. I think they should be sure to leave space for a Spain section eventually though.

I fully support this. With BBW gone, Germany is DEAD, with just a few flats and DarKastle. It could really use a renovation.

I, agree with what Changsucks said. The park does not feel completel without the presence of a coaster in Germany. It feels like a huge gap has been dug into the heart of Busch Gardens.

Well they opted to go with the Oktoberfest rehab and A new drop tower. Big Bad Wolf's spot will house a new launch coaster added in 2012.

Now this doesn't mean that a new area won't ever come. we'd likely be seeing 2015 or 15 but there is plenty of room in the former Drachn fire Field and the woods across the tracks to add a new area with a few solid rides.

I would hope that the area extend over the river and into what is now Clydesdale paddocks so that the area is not a dead end and can extend into Italy.

I've never been to BGW, so I don't know for sure, but it seems like a Spain area would be really nice. Maybe in a few years when it's time for a new coaster.

The original name was The Old Country and later renamed Europe the park is very well themed and thought out. Since the theme is Europe/countries that people migrated from to the US.

Span could be a good move. Much of the remaining countries have architecture too similar to what is already at the park or regrettably too little to work off of.
