We all know that Bonzai Beach is the main addition for 2011 and that we will get little (if anything at all) for 2010. So here is where you're rumors, theories, or semi-confirmed knowledge comes into play.
What will 2011 hold? Mega-light, New rides, New Northwest Territory, and/or any other random amenities that could be intriduced in 2011!!

5D theater is the most probable i would say. Maybe even ride refurbs and building repairs. I'll have a better idea once we get closer to the 2010 season.

If I could choose for something to happen in 2011, it would be to re-open Northwest Territory. The whole park looks very odd and incomplete without it. The area by Thunder Run is all boarded up and just gives the park a...weird, empty feel. Once that is taken care of, the park can look into finally replacing some rides.

Well with the hopeful reopening of Mile High this year the walls should be pushed back a bit.
Though I think they need to finish repairing the roofs on everything since they are pretty bad. They fixed the roof on Swamp Water's Jack recently, cant remember when but it was one of those big problems that the last SF management didnt bother to fix.
I think we are getting a new Rollocoaster in 2011. I already know we are getting the 5D theater.

Where are all of these 2011 coaster rumors coming from all of the sudden? I think we're lucky just to be getting a water park expansion. I highly doubt us getting a coaster as well.
Becasue we havent got a coaster since 2003 thats not waterpark related. I think we will get one in 2011 if they buy more space.

Why would they do that though when they have NW Territory sitting there.
Even hearing rumors about SFKK getting a coaster in 2011 make me sick. Ridiculous expansion is what got them into this mess. We are getting a water park expansion, why is everyone expecting a coaster all of the sudden? I agree that SFKK is overdue, but SFKK should have to wait until at least 2012 or 2013.

SFKK is really just an unlucky park. While it could have been maintenance's fault for the STOP accident, it really messed the park up. Rides continue to be removed without replacements, Northwest Territory is just sitting there, but the park is ignoring all of it and just paying attention to the waterpark (or at least it seems like it). So I can't see a new coaster coming in 2011 for two reasons... 1. There's so much else the park needs to fix up first and 2. The park hasn't really showed that they've cared enough about the ride-park to expand to it.

Well they did take the effort to refurbish T2 trains over the entire year.

Which was when Jay Thomas was the President of the park, right before the Superman Accident

^Actually it was the 2009 season. Thats why there was always a train missing from the ride this summer until they had both back at the park.
Well you know that protest that was started on myspace against Six Flags. Well i know who started that and they wrote Six Flags a message just saying things, But the weird things was Six Flags wrote back. This is what they said Kentucky Kingdom is not for sale and will be open for the 2010 season. In fact, we are already making plans for our 50th Anniversary in 2011.
Best,
Mike Scollins
They also ask him to close that myspace page. This is weird cause i did not think that Six Flags would write him back. It might not even really be six flags but i think it is. This is interesting maybe some else is plan for 2011 after all.

The fanpage on Facebook is the park's. A number of members here can verify that. They generally reply sometimes so I wouldnt be surprised by it.

They say that to everyone. He just uses different adjectives to describe what each park is getting. Ask on the main Six Flags FB and ask about 2011. If he says its really exciting then its good.

I would assume 2011 brings a few things outside of water park expansion:
- Northwest Territory reopens bringing back Mile Hile Falls (rethemed) and Zepplin
- A major ride or coaster will replace Twisted Twins
- The front gate will be the subject of major construction and renovation.
- The Giant Wheel will be painted and have an LCD light package installed
- Blizzard River will be renovated
- Thrill Park Theater will be made into a 5D ride
- If T2 isn't repainted it will be a sign that it will be replaced in the next 5 years.

Hmm.. I Really hope they go to LCD/LED lighting on The Giant Wheel. After following California Adventure's Renovation The new Mickey's Fun Wheel is just amazing. The lights at night are just bright and make everything around it stand out. Plus its alot cheaper to use those lights since they use alot less energy.
Just wondering what they could do to the gates though.
Personally would love to see Blizzard renovated. The snowy mountain peaks arent even white in some areas and some of the effects usually are off. Plus the boats need to be fixed so they drain properly.
Good list, I'd love to see all of those done since they are all pretty good additions that would finally shut these trash talking idiots up that are just whining about chang 24/7 still.

^^Rumor has it that GADV is suppose to get the 5D ride. I know Six Flags did something with signing some sort of contract to get this. Idk if the rumor is true, or if they is one to go to other parks, or if any theater can be renovated to make a complete 5D ride.
Other wise, the idea seems very possible, mostly likely that almost all of the points can happen, and the only money spender is the coaster. And since SFI has been reviving from Chapter 11, i think it is possible for SFKK to get a coaster

If we dont get one in 2011 i wouldnt be surprised. If i was the park president I would specifically say no to a coaster at this point for 2011. Why would I? Well theres no need for excessive spending at this time. The park will survive for 2010 and 2011 will bring lots of new things like bonzai and possibly the 5D theater so the park will get a good amount of attention for that year. I would bring up the idea if I were the president for either 2012 or 2013 once Six Flags is back on its feet and is getting close to being out of the red.

That is a great plan! I would love to see all of that happen. The coaster may be unrealistic, but the rest would really balance out the park and make it nicer.

2011 is going to be a blow out year for Six Flags. It is the 50th anniversary of the chain and everything they do is probably going to be over the top. I almost guarantee that MHF will re-open and that Twisted Twins will at least be torn down with whatever is to be put there listed plain as day for 2012.

I have a feeling that both MHF and TT are gonna be removed, to make room for a new area, or a new coaster.
I doubt MHF will ever be removed.. unless it is replace with a bigger and better version of the same ride...

I can't see a new model of that ride coming out. Maybe it can be replaced by a ride similar to Journey to Atlantis @ Seaworld San Antonio
Austin

They already have a new model palmer lol. Journey to atlantis and the new types of flumes were spawned off these shoot the chutes. they pretty much innovated them tho.

No, i'm not talking about getting a shoot-the-chutes ride, like MHF. I think they should get a SuperSplash design ride, like Journey To Atlantis. It is more of a water coaster, but has a layout as if it were a shoot-the-chutes.
Sorry this thread is now closed. Since the recent closure of Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom!!!
