This has probably been one of the most delayed update in a while and for that I'm sorry. It is however a pretty important update in itself.
Recently in the past week alot of big changes happened. A few were noticeable, others not so much. So here they are with an explanation:
Ride Pages - These were partially revamped and organized more efficiently.
Affiliates - We dropped the affiliate page and instead put a box at the bottom of the forum which lists them along with links to them
SFATW (Six Flags Around The World) - We are now affiliates with them and we hope them the best and will do our best to help. They have just added a forum so go to www.sfatw.com to check it out.
Park Guide - I just recently combined alot of the pages we had spread out and a put together a 11 page guide to the park. Its mostly the same things we had but in a new way. It also includes an updated ticket page. Check it out here also: http://sfkkonline.com/index.php?pageid=parkguide
Homepage - We just recently put on a new module that I think many of you will find helpful. It lists the weather conditions of Louisville so you can see how the weather will be if you go to the park.
Park Index - We have updated it and added 3 new pages, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Six Flags Mexico and Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.
Meet our Staff - From now on if you click the Forum Leaders link on the forums it will take you to a new section that gives more detail on the staff then before. You can check it out here: http://sfkkonline.com/forums/staff.php
Private Messaging System - This has been updated to have more features and more functionality. It now automatically saves PM's to your saved folder and when you get a new PM the box on the navbar where you select your mood will change color.
Tagging Threads - You no longer have to manually do that. We installed a mod that automatically tags a thread. This helps search engines find us better also.
Park History Pages - Last night I broke ground on the last renovation on the site. The section is now broken into two pages, Page 1: 1987-Ed Hart, Page 2: Six Flags. I'm now going to go through it and instead of listing things write short synopsis's of each year. After that the site will be done in its renovations and ready to begin the 2010 operating season. Link to check them out: http://sfkkonline.com/index.php?pageid=History
Staff Training - I'm going to be training staff to do some of the things I do as a administrator currently. Things such as name changes, running maintenance checks etc. During this time period the site will be closed, possibly twice but not for very long. I'm going to make them restricted admins which means they still are Moderators but have some administrative privileges.
Youtube - We now have our own youtube account and I'm in the process of uploading and finding videos of rides in the park including rides that have been removed. I downloaded alot but they didnt download the audio so im going to have to fix them. Heres our link: http://www.youtube.com/user/sfkkonline
Thats alot of updates I know lol. And now for the part I need your help with:
I want to personally rewrite the parks wikipedia page so that it is 1. more accurate and 2. more informative. I'm going to ask permission for large edits to not be reversed until its finished and to let them know whats going on.
Until then just start getting some ideas down on what to put up.
Thanks for reading everyone,
Tiger and staff.
P.S.
I labeled this 2.0 because of the sweeping changes and upgrades etc that has been done to the site recently.
