Holiday World -- July 12, 2009

[Austin]

Ok so me and my cousin and his wife all went up to Holiday world yesterday. The park was amazing even though it rained almost all morning. We got there at 8 central time which we forgot about because we are in EST here :p. when the park opened we got the first ride on Raven, which is now one of my favorite roller coasters. It ran amazingly smooth, and the airtime was a lot better then I remember. Well why say it in words when you got pictures? 164 pictures to be exact :D

The first 2 jumped off at the same time as someone on the diving board on the ground. the first guy is at 30 ft. the next is 50ft and the 3rd is 70ft

I actually didnt get to ride voyage. I dont like riding coasters by myself alot and my cousin and his wife dont like coasters so i stuck to raven and legend. lol. yeah i know.

Lol i did get in about 20 rides on raven tho because no one was there. Raven has since taken back its top 10 spot in my wooden list lol. Still cant top thunderhead.

The most I've gotten on a ride in a single day is 25 times(Shockwave @ SFOT), I rode Shockwave at SFOT 53 times over a period of 3 days in 2008!

My record is 51 rides on Joker's Jinx in a day! I got on all of the other coasters at leaast 3 times each as well and each water ride at least once that day. I have never seen a park so dead!

Holy crap, 51 rides of one ridei n one day. I remember doing Runaway Mine Train 18 times (all but 2 rides at night with my best friend, but that happened like 4 years ago but he's still my best friend) inone day and thought that was alot. That's crazy!

They have generally the same layouts but a few differences. I haven't ridden either FoF, but I have heaard that they are both rougher and don't ride as well.

It was harder riding El Toro 22 times in a day that Joker's Jinx 51 times though.

Actually nitro coming from a guy whose first coaster with inversions was FoF last summer in KI, It wasnt rough at all, slightly but almost un noticable.

It was roughish when I rode it.

It would not be hard for me to ride El Toro 22 times, Thats the best ride ever, I would deal with airtime bruises
