From today up to tomorrow afternoon the pages in the site features and all pages linked to it which means all the ride pages and park info will be closed.

During this closing I will take what I learned from making the Index and re-code from url bb code to url html coding. Seems like a small switch but it drastically improves everything. Instead of clicking on a link to the next page on those pages and having a new tab/window open, the html will switch to the next page in the same tab/window you are viewing it in.

This is just part 1 of the "rehab" of that section of the park. Part 2 will come at the end of the month and will receive a noticeable transformation. Actually you should start to notice alot of changes coming to the site soon.

Btw, just so theres no confusion, the site will still be open but those sections will be unavailable. The forums will close for some of the changes I will be doing later this week or next week though.

With a majority of the work done I feel its time that I can reopen the pages. The changes are slight to noticeable so ill list them here:

Fixed spelling error in link for Splashwater Kingdom, it was spalshwaterk, its now splashwaterkingdom
Converted a majority of images to html coding
Converted a majority of bold bbcode to html
Removed coaster stats and on the coaster name is a link to the coaster on rcdb.com
Tweaked the original ride hub page after the new design wouldn't work.
Reorganized the navigation box on the homepage
Added links to the park index to the navbar, navigation box on the homepage, and the features page.

Now I did say a majority of work so its not entirely finished. All that is left is creating the park guide and this project will be in the books.

Hope you enjoy the fixes in this and the other changes.

Alright I managed to work straight through this project and it is now complete. Go check it out and see how much better it all runs.

In addition to this while I was on their pages, I removed Chang from thrillsville page and I have updated the parks timeline to the end of last season. The site should run much smoother in that area of the site now.

The next project will take place in the next day or two. There is only 3 major projects left for this week and next week. With the new time I have all projects scheduled for next week will be finished this week and will allow the rest of the month to finish the next major project.

You work pretty darn hard for this site, always fixing something.

I would like to personally thank you for all your great work, and keep it up!

Thanks lol. I need something to do so I continuously look for bugs, probably why I think we have one of the most bug-free fansites out there :D

The next closing this week which will require the site to come down for about a hour or two will bring in some new forum sections.

A side update i just did. At the top of each page where is says SFKK Online, it used to say - powered by vbulletin next to it. I have now removed it from the site and will help in getting us recognized in search engines more.

I actually noticed that you removed that, I remember seeing it earlier today and now it vanished! Haha.

Time to announce whats happening in the next round of page closings.

This will be the final round of the closings for a long time just to put that out there. This also will signal that the end of all of these major renovations to pages will be nearing completion. So with that said heres the details:

Changing image bbcode to image html code for a more professional feel.
Re-organizing the layout of the attraction pages
Creating a "guide"
Adding links to the Park Index to the navbar and homepage
Other small changes

Much of the pages will look slightly different and will all be easier to navigate than they are now. These pages will all go offline at 4:30 PM EST and will remain down until as late as Sunday.

After this renovation is made I will move forward and work on other smaller projects (Just getting the major things done before an increase in visitors come in the next few months for the park opening). Some of the smaller projects include re-organizing the navigation box on the homepage to be more useful and other items. Cant list alot of them because i have a notebook with all the information on everything to do in January(No kidding I actually do) so I'm just naming things off the top of my head I remember.

Thanks,
Tiger
