Screamscape reported that Six Flags struck a deal for 5D attractions in 2011. They included SFKK and some other Six Flags parks. Im not even sure what it means. But What does it mean for the movie theather at SFKK. I been wondering what they were talking about.

people over at Great Adventure Online got word on that. After the fail of Fail...i mean Fly Me To The Moon, I would like to see a 5D to stay in FMTTM's.

SFKK could also use it. That movie theater cinema thing would be better of with something "themed" and have a new 5D storyline ride.

I heard something about this in an IAAPA report. I don't know enough about this company to know if this is good or bad, but if they make the theaters anything like the 5D one at Sea World, it will be awesome!

surely theyd bring it to SFKK, the theater is long over due for a fix. The last time i rode it the chairs sounded like they were grinding against each other and its just over all out dated and has sort of no theme to it. Plus the TV's int he pre-show, if you notice if you look at one on one level and then another the colors are different like on level 1 the TV is colorful and then on level 2 its darker and sort of hard to read. So maybe some HD monitors or 2 big monitors? And how about taking down the stargate banner out above the entrance lol. I think the show was replaced like 2-3 years ago lol.

Wasn't the show replaced for 2009? I remember seeing an advertisement for the show changing for 2009 in my season pass renewal letter I got from the park, but I never saw the show this year.

We had a show for hanna barbera, i think all paramount parks had it also since Kings Island had it. But it replaced the stargate one and now we lost temple or something like that.

^That's what I thought.

I haven't seen the show, but that sounds like the show is fine. It could just get some awesome enhancements. They could trickle water on you when you pass through waterfalls, use strobe lights for lightning, blow air at your feet for passing through plants, etc.

According from the Fan Call, Six Flags is still working on this project..

It sounds like it may be coming to SFGAdv in 2011. They closed their theater and have "Funstruction" signs out.

Me..

Yeah you, you only live in South Carolina, which is about 700 miles, and about 11 to 12 hours by car, 2 days and about 8-9 hourse biking, and 9 days and about hour walking (Thank you Google Maps). Meanwhile, I live in New Jersey. All I have to say.

Does anyone think that this may change with the new CEO? It would make sense if he's not in to this type of thing. I don't think any Paramount parks had 5D theaters.

You can ride a bike at a steady pace of 77mph for 9 hours straight?

I hope the 2011 additions are still in place. Since it takes a couple years to plan. I don't know why they would just drop a coaster in the making or whatever they are planning. I don't the new CEO will do anything tell 2012.. IMO..

Everything that was planned for 2011 is still going on, Shapiro had to go out on a bang.

So we have heard nothing about this in a while, but it's still possible that 5D theaters could be a quiter expansion for 2011. Does anyone have any info or opinions on this matter?

It was going to go to GAdv and another park. It's name was Earth City, after I said that you can guess what other park it was going to go to. It was definitely canceled. Earth City, lmao.

I probably should know this, but I can't think of what the other park would be. Any confirmation on it being cancelled? There could be a small chance of this happening under the radar.

Just base it on all the rumors. Plus, as more confirmation, Six Flags trademarked Earth City (they were going to go all out with it from the looks of it) and its since been canned. If you go to the trademark database you can see that.

Small chance of a 5D ride still happening for 2011? I'd say its 5% honestly... I would be shocked. It definitely would not be as originally planned. The whole concept isn't that good as you're standing up and it just looks uncomfortable and just 'stupid.'

I can confirm that the 5D project is not as previously scheduled. No plans are currently in place for the building as we speak.

ADMIN EDIT: No theaters were ever built. Thread Locked.
