I know this forum is about Six Flags, but... In May, my grade gets to go to (drum roll) EPCOT! Can't wait, might need a little help though, you know planning and stuff... Might just be able to sneak away from the chaperone for a little while... I'm definately going on Soarin, Test Track, Mission Space, and maybe the ball ride, IDK...
Any rides I "have" to go on? :P lol...

Test Track, Mission Space, Soarin, and Spaceship Earth are all rides you must ride.

Journey into imagination is another one. Overall you can do all the rides in a 1 day period.

Good tips:

If Test Track is over an hour, use the express pass thing.

Mission Space, only do orange. Green is horrible.

Eat in the World Showcase, amazing food at every country.

Soarin' is a must in the front. You got to be lucky to get there though.

I must forewarn you, Journey into Imagination has some "odd" things and you might want to expect the unexpected.

Turtle Talk is funny, but if you don't have time, it's fine. It's more for children.

Spaceship Earth is boring. To kill time, ride it. It's a good nap ride.

Honey I Shurnk The Audience is only good if there is no waiting for the show. otherwise, don't do it.

I forget the name, but the area with interactive technology things is fun. You should do that.

If you stay at night, the night show at the World Showcase is amazing.

If you can do a re-stamp entry, leave the park at the entrance by France. it's usually for the Resort residences, but a lot of outsiders use it. Walk all the way up to the Boardwalk area. It's small but fun. there's an ESPN Zone, which has some mad good wings, and an arcade. It has some stores too and a ferry to MGM/Hollywood Studios.

And of course..Have fun.

Well, thats how long we get lol, one day, but I'll be in a group, and besides, noone will want to ride journey into imagination... I've been on it before, and I don't mind skipping out, I mean, Soarin is probably gonna be an hour long wait by the time we get there, so I probably won't be able to do that one... But test track probably, and spaceship earth., maybe mission to mars if it isn't to busy... This is not happening till May, so I've got a while...

^Use the Express pass, it is so helpful. You insert the ticket in it, a time ticket comes out. There is two times on it. One is start, one is finish. Between those times, you must hand your ticket to the attendent at the other line and you skip at least 75% of the line. It is very helpful and it's a whole different line. Trust me, an hour wait for Test Track becomes 15 minute wait.

Thanks for the suggestions, and I'm assuming by the "unexpected" you mean the stink area lol, I've been here before, I'm just asking for help in planning, it's a day trip and I'll be back at 3 or 4:00 pm so I won't be staying for the world showcase unless of course it's a Friday and my parents have the money, in which case I'll do what I want lol ;P
I do know about the lines, and I've never been on Orange Mission space, only green, which DID suck lol, I really don't know what we'll be doing... I think that if we are divided into groups I won't get much say in where we go (I'm the "loser" at school) and IDC... Just so long as I get Soarin, Test Track, and Mission Space, I'll be happy

^O, i never knew you went. Well i have went to Disney 6 times, and i'm only 13 (yeah, call me spoiled). I know a whole load of Disney things. If you went to other parks, i could tell you about hidden mickeys. I have a whole list of old hidden mickeys, as in one's that had to be removed when the ride was renovated/removed. I don't remember much of hdden mickeys in EPCOT.

Also, pretty funny thing with EPCOT. If someone goes, what does EPCOT mean? Say "Every Person Comes Out Tired". My mom's best friend's husband told me that one.

EPCOT actually started as plans for a city, that was going to be futuristic, like with rides as transportations, etc... But it turned into a theme park... I'ma need help in planning, like where to go first, etc... I've only been there 3 times in the same trip so I'll need help in things like where to go first, quickest thing, fast pass or regular line, etc...

Spaceship earth is a rite of passage though. Its the first park ride built in Epcot.

Soarin is the first ride I plan on going on, followed by Spaceship earth, Test Track, Mission space, and then on to the world showcase if we have the time...

Is this a big trip to do Orlando parks or is it just a day trip to EPCOT?

When I was in middle school, we did a trip every year to Orlando. We alternated between Disney and Universal/Sea World/Wet n' Wild. We had Park Hoppers the Disney year and only spent 3 hours at EPCOT, and that is the only time I have been to EPCOT, so my experience with that park is very limited. I rode Test Track and Mission Space multiple times, and they were fun, then your typical 12 year-old drama started happening with some other students, so I didn't really get to enjoy that park.

Test Track is a very fun ride, but it's all about the unexpected. EPCOT has so few rides, that the lines for the rides that they do have get VERY long. If your chaperones will allow it, I would definately reccomend the single rider lines. Test Track had a 90 minute wait with a 10 minute single-rider wait. Unless you have a Fast Pass, single-riders are a must to enjoy this park.

Mission Space was also fun, but you can get sick on it very easily. Don't ignore the signs about motion sickness. They are ABSOLUTELY right. The car actually spins, creating a strong sense of force. You are looking at the screen in front of you and it creates the illusion of moving forward, but you can clearly identify the spinning motion if you close your eyes. If you want to be experimental, take a coin and put it in the loose articles box in front of your seat, and you will be able to see what the motion is like. We used Fast Passes on Mission Space, but it had about an hour wait for the intense version (which is what I just told you about) and the non intense version had a 10 minute wait. If you don't think you can handle extreme force or spinning, I would definately reccomend the less intense version.

So that is really what my experience with EPCOT is. We never got a chance to walk through the World Showcase, which I was kind of bummed about. I hope that helped. If you are going to other parks in Orlando, I can probably help with those though.

Well it is a spinning ride, and people get sick on rides of that type all the time.

It doesnt really spin that bad lol. It just feels like it because of the enclosed part. It actually stops spinning off and on for a few seconds

If you ever go back, ride it with your eyes closed, and you will realize just how much it spins.

Well I've only been on the non intense version which was very boring... And this is only going to be a day trip, I'll be back at my school around 3:50... If it's a Friday, I'll skrew it and ask if I could just stay with my parents when they were leaving lol...

My mom got sick on orange, but she can't do any spinning or simulators. She gets major motion sickness.

well yeah if you have motion sickness. But im saying if you dont theres like no chance of getting sick unless you have MS or you are actually sick etc

^True that.

Also, i also have a upcoming trip in may. To GADV though. School/band (up your alley Nitrofan. LOL) trip after playing in some high school (one which on Jon Bon Jovi went to) for a competition. Hey, going from 10:30 to 5:15 is great, yet last years lines were horrible.

ADMIN EDIT: This trip is over, so I'm closing this thread. Please feel free to make a trip report if you would like to share!
