So, I went to Valleyfair over the summer also....

I would like to say, Renegade (GCI) is a really great ride, and certainly outstanding at night time because its way back in a corner making for a nice pitch black ride ;)

We were there on a Saturday, but I believe the longest wait was about 20 minutes for Renegade, Wild thing (Morgan Hyper) was decent, and gave some nice airtime over the drawn out airtime hill taken at a high speed after the drop.

This park had a very "Cedar Fair" feel to it, If that makes any sense at all.

If your in the area, dont forget to go to the Mall of America, seeing as that also Is a nice little park (there will be a PTR soon)

I remember really loving the Skycoaster as I did it twice (We were there for a long time!) plus they have a S&S screamin swing which are my favorite flat rides!

Anyway before I start typing to much I'll get onto the pictures.. I uploaded them onto this site first, so we'll see how this works out. Enjoy

This ride has a similar design as Gemini with steel tube rails, and wooden support, but this ride was just rough and not fun at all, the 4 trims on the first drop were NOT ENOUGH! Throw a few more on that puppy

That looks like a cool place, clean and friendly. Is it owned by Cedar Fair? If so, that would definitely explain why you're reminded of it.

Austin
10-31-2009, 01:33 PM
Yep lol. Its CF owned. They own alot of smaller parks most people dont know about.

Another great trip report. keep up the good work.

Haha nice, I assume that you have a six flags season pass to?

Yep, I always get a SF season pass, my home park is SFGAm so thats why I'll probably always get one, no matter what. Plus the fact that I only paid 15 dollars for my 2010 pass I don't see why I wouldn't buy one!

Austin
11-01-2009, 12:25 AM
Haha nice, I get my pass every year but ive only gone 3 times this year. If i had started the site in spring or around now id have gone at least 5 times. Im definately getting one for next year so i can get good updates on construction.

11-01-2009, 09:11 AM
oh ok, that will be good. I think I've used my a total of like 23 times at all the SF parks I've been to this year, including 9 times to my home park

Also, i'm taking a wild guess that your credits are really high because you had 23 park visits?

say hi

This park looks great, seems like it kind of has that small park feel but with CF money being pumped into it. Another great trip report, I really enjoy these!

Well his signature says he has 122 credits, which a lot of people would consider a low number, but it's 22 more than I have. (yep, I have exactly 100 credits).

Once again, Great TR, Bobinbop!

Lol. How are you able to do all these road trips? Id have to go with my mom if i did anything that was over a day long. I just thought about that so yeah lol.

Well, I've gone with either my mom or dad or both everytime, there both dentists who work about 25 hours a week at the maximum, and LOVE to travel. Most of the Trips I go on are because my parents want to go to a city or do something nearby, and there just happens to be parks nearby. We dont drive to every single place either, we actually flew to Valleyfair despite being a 6 or 7 hour drive(I live near Chicago) now some might find that weird but the plane tickets were $49 so there really not that expensive.

The farthest we have driven would probably be when I hit up the 3 east coast parks (SFGAd, SFNE, Lake Compounce) But that was a family road trip where we did much more then go to those three parks.

I've also taken a plane to SFMM, SFDK,& SFM (we were on vacation in Mexico)

I don't know if you would be interested in this, but there is a company called Thrill Coaster Tours that does teen coaster tours every summer. Everyone I have talked to who is a teen and has lots of credits (usually 250+) have gotten them on these tours. I haven't ever been on one of these trips, but I have been toying with the idea for the near future.

Here is the link to their site if you or any other members are interested:

Oh well then that would explain it lol. I was like your how old and your parents are letting you go by yourself to these places? lol.

I got in the rare visit to SFNO. Litterly the most special park visit i think ill ever have. We drove to New Orleans to take a cruise to cozumel the week before katrina and we went to SFNO the day before our cruise. The day we got back we drove non-stop home and it hit the next day.

Yeah, i don't know much on the credit system. I think it's one coaster = credit or something like that. If so, than i have a very very very very very very low credit of 37. Depressing.

Id have my permit but the Kentucky State Police make the stupid test insanely difficult. I know it all but its the way they word it all and the fact we cant have books we have to print off 100 pages to study -.-

^^I can say that over and over and over and over and over again. Plus, my home park kinda has 4 B&M's and rode all but one in the very back row.

Tiger, i rode Everest once, and in the second to back. Holy crap! Intense! The in the pitch black part while going backwards is amazing towards the back. Plus the drop that you see in the front of the mountain.

You know what's fun in the back that's not B&M? El Toro (Intamin Woodie). It's intense and gives major airtime (well the whole ride is intense and has major airtime).

Austin

What do you mean by SFGAdv "kinda" has 4 B&Ms?

And while El Toro is amazing in the back, the front is even better! The front has signifigantly more air-time and is simply the best coaster experience I have ever had. I wouldn't wait the extra 1/2 hour to do it every time, but it was worth it to wait for the front twice when I was at SFGAdv.

Lol wow. thats nice lol.

It really is that good. El Toro is AMAZING! I just can't get over it. El Toro is what made me not pissed at Six Flags about Kingda Ka being closed. lol
