At the begging of August I went to three east coast parks: SFGAd, SFNE, and Lake Compounce. Im really bored right now and decided to make PTR's, Enjoy. The first one is of SFGAd which I visited on 8-1-09.

This park is in the middle of god only knows where, well kinda.... the nearest hotels are like a half hour away though! Sheesh you would think someone would be smart enough to build a hotel over there somewhere! Anyway its an ok park, however seems to be lacking Flats, there's like none! We got a gold flash pass which helped tons in getting all the credits as well as riding El Toro and Nitro as many times as we needed!

Speaking of which, the only reason to come here is for EL TORO & NITROOOOOO!!!!!! Both of these rides are extremely wonderful and and just blow your mind away! El Toro has the most godliest airtime imaginable all over its layout, and Nitro has lots of great air and is what A real B&M hyper should be! Overall Toro and Nitro fit into my # 2, and 3 spot right behind my baby X2!

As for the park, In my mind aside from Toro and Nitro its rather dumpy. I just felt like it was missing something... hmmm I dont know, I just expected it to be better. Call me crazy but Magic Mountain is still my favorite!

As for Bizarro, this ones really just lame. Scream is soooooooooooo much better, bizarro had horrible pacing and the audio just got really repetitive and annoying, I think I would have enjoyed it more as Medusa

Kingda Ka was closed. I guess I'll have to come back for that credit, But I got all the other credits.

All the Ride counts were once time except for....

Bizzaro - 3 (I had to keep riding to make sure it was that horrible, I'll gladly give it another shot if I ever come back Though)
El Toro - 8 (5 of which in the Back seat. oh baby!)
Nitro - 10 (8 of which in Row 9, definetly the place to be!)

And now onto the Pictures.............................

Well, i am close to GADV and i have go to the park for the past 13 years. I can easily say El Toro and Nitro are amazing. Great rides and the never get old. El toro's airtime and Nitro's intense g's is just great. Bizarro, fun at night and the back is fun. the ride isn't THAT boring, but after like a 4 straight run of it is boring.

Kingda ka had problems and now it's open. Missing Kingda Ka is big. It's amazing. the winds hitting ou in the face is fun, the drop is nuts, peaking the top is freaky and it's fun, and that launch is so crazy. You here that cable move and you just feel the force fly you forward and you just have to scream or put your hands up. It's amazing.

Well, Bizarro had a dilemia after Media Day with the fire, audio, auger, and sheilds. The fire decreased, the sheilds broke, the auger broke, the audio became choppy and a new audio was placed. It was very strange, but the fire seems longer than it has been, the auger and sheilds are fine, yet the audio depends on the train and track. You might get the Media Day track with quotes and dialouge or the "new" or "extra" track with no dialouge and/or a choopy audio.

Also, that red coaster in the beginning you called Shockwave, isn't Shockwave. you were close. Shockwave is a clone of it, which is at SFGAm, not GADV. It's call Great American Scream Machine (GASM for short) It's almost the same as Viper at SFMM (you would understand how rough and painful it is).

Now, i have never been to SFMM, and you said X2 is the best coaster you've been on. Can you explain how intense it is?

Yes, explain.

^I was at SFMM in 2008 right after X became X2, and certainly unique, but El Toro still earned my #1 spot with X2 at #3. X2 has that thing of not knowing what to expect because you could randomly flip at any time, and it was extremely intense at times, but it was really short. It was good, but I got in line at 11:00 (30 mins after the park opened) and waited 2 1/2 hours in the hot LA sun, so that bumpet it down to #3 behind Revenge of the Mummy.

Glad you had a good time at SFGAdv! I certainly had a fun time there earlier this year, but it rained so I had walk-ons on everything all day! Kingda Ka was closed when I went too though.

All I know is X/X2 was inspired by the Zipper, one of my top 5 favorite flats. That makes it ok in my book.

hmmm dumpy much? This place is a tad bit ghetto

Whille I think everyone can agree that things like that are unacceptable, and it definately goes against Six Flags' family image they are trying to create, but things like that happen everywhere; movie theaters, city parks. I have even seen some questionable things at Disney, they just do a much better job of getting rid of it quickly.

That park may seem Ghetto, but that is just how Six Flags is, and to be honest, it really is one of the best Six Flags parks all things considered.

Haha Yeah I know its GASM, its just my home park is SFGAm so whenever I see this ride I feel the need to call it shockwave, sorry if it confused you!

Also, yes X2 is my favorite coaster, and i'll tell you why. The minute you get into the seat the action begins, you hear the whispering voice echoing "X2, X2, X2" and you hear a voice saying "is everybody in? the ceremony is about to begin?" To me it kinda just pumps me up from the beginning. Then once you leave the station the position you are to the track is just completely strange and unlike anything else you could possibly imagine, going up the lift hill the audio really gets you psyched up, its done much better then both of the Bizarro coasters in my opinion. If you've never listened to the X2 soundtrack then do it! (I believe its on youtube) On the lift your having things screamed into your ears and its just really well done, kudos to sixflags! Once you crest the lift the fun really begins, any pov you had watched previously about the ride is completely different then the actual experience you get, suddenly your tilted forward and are staring directly at the ground with literally nothing in front of you (ride this ride in the front row, its the best!) the 88.5 degree drop is completely insane in the position your in and is like no other coaster on this planet (ok maybe the other coaster like it in Japan) your just falling and falling and falling and its like heaven. when your reaching the bottom you do a front flip which is just really disorientating and it stuns you just for the fact that nothing else will do that to you on the first drop. your looking back up at the drop thinking man did that really just happen? Reaching the top of the first raven turn you come to a almost complete crawl, and once again your seat is basically parallel with the ground so your staring straight down, and because your moving pretty slowly, you slightly fall forward with all your weight on the restraint, which really really freaked me out the first time I rode it, and because there's essentially nothing holding your feet/legs back they slightly fall forward too, making it really seem like your just gonna fall out and die, its just an amazing feeling that you have to experience to understand! There's some other insane things that happen to you on the ride, like the back flip which is really cool because it leaves you not knowing exactly where you are and your heart is just pumping like crazy from this wicked experience that your going through! The twisting flip is pretty dang cool as well, because you go in and your in the front of the train, but when you come out your in the back, once again leaving you wondering what just happened to you. Then comes the FLAMES:eek: holy hell, Both the Bizarro flames are nowhere near as intense as X2's fire effect! You feel like your being burned alive, and it looks like the flame is 2 inches in front of you. You kind of forget that the fire is even gonna be there because of all the crazy stuff that's happened to you before you even get to it, and I can tell you that it surely took me by surprise! I completely forgot it was there and then BAM! This is one thing everyone needs to experience because its just to damn cool. The second raven turn is opposite of the first, and because your moving pretty quickly through it, which makes for some great forces on your body, at the bottom it looks like your gonna hit the ground and its just pretty awesome! One last twist flip leading into the break run. Overall this coaster is just one crazy, wild, insane experience that is jam packed with intensity from start to finish! If you haven't had the pleasure of experiencing this monster of a coaster its surely worth a trip to Magic Mountain, as its a much nicer park then some people tend to believe! That's why X2 is my favorite coaster :D

^Haha, I loved how they played Frank Sinatra singing "it had to be you" going up the lift. That is halerious. I wish they made the Bizarro soundtrack more like X2's.

Is it Jim Morrison saying that? That was from his poem "The Movie."
