I went to King's Island yesterday. Here are the highlights.
-I got there early enough to park really close to the gate which was awesome because I never get close parking anywhere.
-It was 60 degrees and drizzly until about 1 pm. It warmed up a little, and the sun came out around 4 finally.
-Until 2 or so, the park was as empty as King's Island will ever be. Sure, there were a lot of people there, but I basically had free reign. I rode most everything I planned to ride in the first 2 hours.
-I got in line for Diamondback first, but they were having "technical difficulties." After they ran 4 trains or so empty, I left the line.
-Rode the Beast in the back seat, it was freezing and I got pelted with rain. It was great.
-Rode the Vortex next, still one of my favorites. Don't understand why people dislike it so much.
-Rode the Backlot Stuntcoaster for the first time. A little tame, but it would make a great first coaster for my stepdaughter.
-Rode Firehawk, after which I detemined that I don't like it because all of my weight rests on the restraints for most of the ride, a sensation I don't care for.
-Rode Flight Of Fear, thoroughly enjoyed it.
-Rode both Racers, always great.
-Rode Adventure Express. Decided I don't like it. At this point I noticed the ink pen and lighter in my pockets were both gone, both of which I had after Flight Of Fear. Ironic that I made it through Firehawk without losing anything only for stuff to fall out of my pockets on The Racer or Adventure Express.
-Rode Invertigo, which broke down the last time I was there. Good to finally get to ride it.
-Rode Flight Deck. Ugly, ugly contraption but soooo much fun. Too short though.
-Got back in line for Diamondback, which was working again. I'm glad they have a seperate line for single riders because I was able to get on immediately. By then the park was starting to get busier, and longer lines were forming.
-Rode The Crypt, a Huss Giant Top Spin. No good. It probably could be good, but they need to lengthen it and turn on the special effects. Actually they should just tear it down, it sucks.
-Rode the Beast in the front. A spiritual experience.
-Rode Shake, Rattle and Roll, a Huss spinning ride. Loved it.
-Rode Vortex and Flight Of fear again, both still awesome.
-After that I went and got my camera and wandered around. I took almost 300 pics, so narrowing it down to a manageable amount was difficult.
I posted the pics on my facebook account. Rather than put 'em up here which would take a long time, here's a link to the album:
