Seems to be from some sources that the track to the old Serial Thriller has left Great Escape's junkyard and has arrived at La Ronde today.

Here is some pictures http://thrillzone.invisionplus.net/?mforum=thrillzone&showtopic=931&st=150

EDITED: I have put the webcam on here 3/17/10..

I said that already. the old Serial Thriller

Wow, Six Flags sure has been making some pretty dumb decisions lately.

Well deciding on a SLC is a stupid idea. LOL

^Well this ride is exactly what SFGE needs. It was sitting there for 4 years, and they move it to SFLR. Everyone is going to hate it after having a B&M Invert.

SLC is a great decision.

palmer
09-21-2009, 10:30 PM
^Well, that's your thinking on T2. T2, in my mind, is the lighter version of SLC. My mom did Mind Eraser at SFNE and couldn't think straight for 10 minutes.

Palmer, they are clones. lol

SLC is a great decision.

First of all, I know you love SLCs, but you are in a minority. And it is not a good decision to put one in a park that already has a glass-smooth B&M Invert. Maybe if they put the new trains on it it would be better.

Nope, but many reviews say Kong is smoother than other SLCs. Worse case, i'll ask my friend from GAO (who won the swimming with dolphins contest on Facebook) when he goes to see if it's smoother than other SLC

Just because a few people on TPR like them doesn't make them good. I have never ridden the new train design, but IMO the ride is just jerky due to how the speed changes are so dramatic in every element. Most Vekomas suffer this problem, and it won't be fixed by new trains.

I like the way that most of the ride is over water and you are suspended. That would be a cool new trill to do one day!

ONE SLC has the new trains. Just ONE. Robb has yet to ride that SLC with the new trains. Why get a SLC when you have a 30x more awesome B&M invert in the same park? Getting Serial Thriller is nothing to talk about.

The name of the lake is called Lake Dolphin. I think since Six Flags is trying to flagg the park they can theme it to Aquaman.

-----------------------------------------------------------

La Ronde just announced today a new (paying- $7.00) attraction for the 2010 season; Terminator X.

http://www.laronde.com/larondeen/

Terminator X, the ultimate laser battle at La Ronde!

Terminator X is an interactive laser battle inspired by the Terminator blockbuster movies in which two teams are pitted against each other. In addition, both teams have to contend with the booby-trapped SkyNET artificial intelligence battle arena and elite battle squads inspired from blockbuster movie mogul James Cameron (Avatar, Titanic).

The whole thing takes place in a virtual, surreal, and futuristic environment pulsating to the beat of a unique and entrancing soundtrack immersing participants in a video game environment. In Terminator X, “you are the target!”

During this heart-thumping adventure, the combatants are greeted by elite SkyNET soldiers working for Cyberdine Industries and recruited to test new laser weaponry in the battle arena. After the battle, recruits are evaluated by the SkyNET soldiers and given their scores.

Terminator X was created by the President and Chief Executive Officer of Sudden Impact! Entertainment Company (SIEC), Lynton V. Harris, the man behind The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, the star attraction at La Ronde in 2009 with over 125,000 thrilled participants.

I understand bowling alleys, mini golf courses, paintball arenas, and stuff like that (finger pointed at GADV) aren't needed. But this thing looks insanely fun! I love playing laser tag. Especially at this one near me (biggest indoor laser tag in New Jersey). This might bring in some teens. But that really looks sick!

Wow, that Laser Tag looks awesome! I hope this comes to more parks. Maybe this is what SFGAdv is getting in the place where everyone thinks the bowling is coming.

The SLC (whatever they are calling it now) is looking nice as well. I bet it will look great once they get the water back in under the ride.

palmer

^Nah, GADV doesn't need another one of those upcharge rides/attraction. Flats is a priority.

Although this is an SLC (not a favorite for people), it does look nice. I'm liking the colors of the ride.

I really think the Laser Tags at alot of parks are terrible and rip-offs and waste space. Kings Island had one of the best but they got rid of it last year. They're kind of on the downward trend but this one looks promising.

Montréal, Thursday, April 1, 2010 – A mysterious creature has emerged from Lac des Dauphins at La Ronde and traumatized two workmen at a new rollercoaster construction site. Suffering from shock, the two men have not been able to provide much detail about the incident; however, they claim that the creature escaped Lac des Dauphins through an underwater tunnel before retreating into the St. Lawrence River.

A short video found on one of the workmen’s cell phone shows evidence of a creature that is much larger than anything known to occupy these waters.

The coaster's name has been released. It is Ednör L'attaque. The English translation is Ronde Attack. So I'm guessing it's about the sea monster attacking La Ronde.

There are rumors of preshows, fire, and on-board audio to make this a completely unique experience from the other SLCs and their B&M Invert.

Mike Scollins, Six Flags Social Media Agent

Cryptozoology is the study of animals that have not officially been recognized by mainstream biology and it’s also an excellent word in Scrabble. And with the discovery of Ednör at La Ronde, cryptozoolists and coaster enthusiasts finally have some common ground to end all those awkward silences.

If you remember my blog post from way back in February, I mentioned a nameless coaster that was ready to debut this summer at La Ronde. With 70,000 views, most of you have probably seen the teaser video of the mysterious creature emerging from the Lac des Dauphins. Well the sea monster is finally ready to make his official debut on May 22nd along with the launch of Six Flags’ newest coaster.

Ednör is La Ronde’s first ever totally-themed rollercoaster with a pre-ride show highlighting the legend of sea monsters and a geyser coming up from the lake. With 2,171 feet (Ok, fine, Canada 662 meters) of track and 5 inversions, this promises to be the premiere attraction in Montreal. For more info on the ride and some awesome videos, check out the website.

And as a special incentive for Season Passholders, you can be the first to check out the new ride with exclusive previews on May 15 and 16. So, if you haven’t picked up a Season Pass, I’d do it now. First official ride leaves the station at 11am.

For you state-siders, check back Friday for a preview of opening weekend for Chicago’s Great America.

This is semi on but off topic, the name in English (well from what they say) is Ronde Attack. I did a little research and used a little of my french wits from school. Well, Ednör is not in the French dictionary. Gathering that Ednör backwards is Ronde (which is the name of the park. If La Ronde is in the French-Canadian area of Canada, clearly there's French language everywhere. La Ronde, if you don't know, means round. L'attaque is actually attack, not a fake translation. Now technically, Ednör = Ronde = Round + L'attaque = attack. So we have Now Round Attack. Yet if you know French, you know the BAGS rule (Beauty, Age, Goodness, Size). Therefore, Ednör L'Attaque really is Attack Round, Attack The Round, or Round The Attack. So, maybe La Ronde should have named it something more obvious to know for the French and those English looking to taking French.

Just got back from La Ronde today, stayed in the park on Sunday. I will have a PTR up sometime later tonight or in the morning. Way too tired after the all night drive home.

Did Ednor have a pre-show/fire/onboard audio like it was rumored? I saw the mist and it looked pretty cool.

The misters look sick! And I'm loving the color for some reason.

There is no audio or fire. Just find a POV on youtube like I did.

You can check Ednör L'Attaque on there 2010 park map on here:
http://www.laronde.com/larondeen/parkmap.asp

Instead of the roller coaster website, they have a page for the roller coaster on the park website:

Whoa, a SF park that actually updated its map for 2010? No way! Even though most of them just needed to be updated with new colors for coasters anyways.

They were all updated on the Six Flags App, but I don't think they were updated online.

I think online Great America, St Louis, and NE were updated when you download the PDF. I wasn't aware about the funfinder app.

The second link Jp posted mentions a preshow or something to that effect, I don't remember anyone ever saying something about it, or is it just like Bizarros story boards?

There is a pre-show, like The Dark Knight, and such.

You know i don't really mind SLC's they are kinda fun... It just depends on the parks maintenance that makes the rides a little bumpy.. Darien Lake's one is not all that bumpy (well it used to be) It's evidence if the amount of maintenance done can effect the ride overall...

The only SLC I rode was t2 which from what I've heard is the worst one. All I can say is, "ouch"!

You are a smart man. I've been on 2 and they were both horrible.

Yeah, T2 is the worst I've been on, but I've only ridden 4 (and I hate them all). They are just terribly designed rides and are impossible to enjoy.

I love what they've done with Ednor, though.
