Well in the process of trying my hand at adding a new mod to the site, i messed up slightly but it brought the site down. Go ahead and laugh lol.
I was attempting to add a mod called vboptimise which will speed up the load times of pages by up to 50%. I uplaoded the files but i didnt know i had to upload them to a specific folder, so when it went to look for them it didnt find it and it gave the error message.
Thankfully, josher was able to fix it. He will be teaching me how to do this kind of mod upload this week so i will be self-sufficient except in major issues where i need help. Thank you Josh!!! lol
In other news, today i added a few things.
1. vboptimise - speeds load times up
2. advanced forum rules - this will allow me to apply specific rules to each forum. Also it allows me to force members to accept the rules again also. It also makes people who get infracted to accept the rules again. It also serves as a additional barricade against spambots by requiring people registering to wait for up to a minute to approve the rules.
3. chatbox - and yes this requires you to be a member to use and forces the use of your actual username. it can be found by clicking the chat button.
This will be pretty much all that you see until next week.
