There have been several 2010 rumors for this park. All of them are quite possible.

-Glow in the Park Parade
I can see this one happening, and it could happen with the other rumor.
-Spaceship America Rumor
There has been a sign in front of the defunct Spaceship America building saying "Future Site of New Attraction" for several years, but nothing has come. I can see several things coming. The most rumored is a water park expansion with the water park becoming separate gate. The other that I can see is a GCI. Shapiro confirmed that another park would get a clone of Terminator in 2010, and this could be the spot. Although, I don't think that would happen if the Chang 2011 rumor turns out to be true.

And then Whizzer, Iron Wolf, Demon, and American Eagle are nearing the end of their life span, so those spots are always up for grabs. Maybe Iron Wolf will be removed in 2011 and will get a GCI in 2013/2014 (maybe we can talk about that in a few years).

What do you guys think?

-Possible

-Possible, though last year that same sign came out in the same location and it ended up being a haunted area for Fright Fest.

-Whizzer was saved due to major public outcry 7 years ago when they tried to remove it, and it fits into Shapiro's need for family attractions. It's still very popular; it's safe for now.

-Demon getting the axe is a slight possibility because it's dead half the time, however they have spent the last several years refurbishing it and it also fits into Shapiro's need for family attractions.

-American Eagle is going nowhere, period. They fill the queue occasionally, and it's as much of a park icon as Columbia Carousel and Raging Bull.

-Wolf will most likely go... eventually. It has structural problems and requires work every offseason, which is mostly what killed ShockWave 7 years ago (although ShockWave had structural problems on a weekly or sometimes daily basis).

^Well Whizzer got lucky in 2002, but that was a pretty good sign that it's nearing the end of it's life, and they can only push it on for so long.

Since you're the SFGAm expert, what are your thoughts on getting Chang? Do you want it at SFGAm? Where would it most likely go?

They would not try and remove it again, not now at least. They wont want to deal with the PR nightmare they had when they tried to close it 7 years ago.

We already have a standup; it most likely won't happen even if Wolf gets the axe. Then again, we got a non-spinning mouse when we already have a spinning mouse, so what do I know.

Well, they only way that SFGAm gets Chang, is if they retire Iron Wolf. Why would you own two B&M Stand Ups?

Well, The Terminator Clone can go there, but yet, Viper and American Eagle are the two woods. Except King's Island, i have not seen any park with three major wood coasters. American Eagle (as Jonrev said) isn't going anywhere. I'm not quite sure about Viper though.

Whizzer should be gone, but yet it's an icon. Either lose it, but put a placque in memory, or keep it for the sake of having a memory of the opening year.

Demon has seen better days, but it hasn't seen the last. It's probably staying.

As for the Space Shuttle, that's a mystery.

^In the Six Flags chain, SFStL has 3 woodies. Outside of the chain, Cedar Point has 3, King's Dominion has 4, and Carowinds has 3.

^Good point. Anyway, maybe they shouldn't waste money oor spend little money before attemping Chang.
