I thought I would make this topic (someone had to). But what do you think? Deluge looks tiny compare to Wildebeast...but look at it like this. If you look at the stats Wildebeast is not that much diffrent from Deluge... Wildabeast has 8 drops while Deluge has 7(correct me if I'm wrong) the height isn't much different t and neither is the speed, Wildebeast has 2 helix's Deluge has 2 but Wildabeast is one long monster...Does anyone have the length of Deluge? Wildabeast looks long and takes over a lot of land but could it be that it's just more spread out? Deluge is really compact. I think Wildebeast will be one monster but be a ton better then Deluge? I doubt it.

The Courier Journal(Louisvillew daily newspaper has a different shot of the ride (just behind the first drop looking out to the lift hill and the rest of the layout. ill try to find it.
Wildebeast is going to be 2 1/2 minutes long so idk, deluge looks more like 2 minutes

After watching POV's Deluge does in fact have 7 drops so I mean it's not much diffrent from Wildeebeast besides length.

I really think Wildebeast might disappoint when compared to Deluge. I think it might be a slightly more intense experience, but I think the rides length will detract from the overal experience. IMO Deluge has almost the same "thrill points" as Wildebeast in a much more compact design. I'd be worried that Wildebeast's length will put a drag on the moments between the "thrill points" and downplay them for the rider.

My take? Deluge wins for being the better ride, Wildebeast wins for not having to go up six flights of stairs to ride it.

After going up 6 flights of stairs, I felt like I really earned that ride on Deluge.

Are you all talking about the Wildebeest at Holiday World? Isn't that ride still in the early stages and not open yet. If that is what everyone is talking about, how can you compare a ride that already exist to a ride that has yet to open.

^ Speculation. The stats are similar to things ridden before by others. Wildebeest isn't going to be groundbreaking, but it will break records.

^Haha, me too! I've been on the water coaster at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon which is the same model, and it was awesome. I wish I got the chance to ride Deluge last time I was at the park.

Disney is also building a water coaster on one of their new cruise ships! It's an awesome idea, but the actual slide looks kind of boring.
It's called AquaDuck. lol Here is a link for more info:

^ I think thats really cool. I would of never thought of that being on a boat.
Next on a Crusie is going to be a Coaster. (Flying would look COOL) lol.

Yeah...while Deluge was a lot of fun and is my favorite waterslide, Wildebeast looks a lot better. Its layout is much more interesting and the way it hugs the terrain looks very cool. Can't forget the underground tunnels either!
