Choose what you think is the best theme park in america. This contest will end by the end of 2011. My favorite park is right now SFGADV.

Considering theme, Magic Kingdom wins out by far. 6 fully themed areas, with fully themed rides (aside from the blemish that has become known as Tomorrowland).

We almost always use one of our dining meals to eat at Chef Mickeys.

No problem. I got addicted to the parks in 1999 when I was 6. I've been about 6-7 times and I've got some great memories of me and my dad there which I was thankful we went so many times together. We love the value resorts because the scenery is pretty cool. We did stay at Port Orleans once and I have to say that was awesome! But I got sick and that really sucked.

It all depends....
Best thrill seeker: SFMM. Sorry Cedar Point, but Magic Mountain is just better head to head!
For family.... Disneyland. I've never been to Disneyworld, but what I like about Disneyland is it can all be done in one day.
So ya overall, probably Disneyland, I love that place!

I think Disneyworld has Disneyland beat hands down. Lol. I'd rather ride Space Mt. alone (well single file style, not side by side). And it appears they are finally realizing that they have to actually spend money on Disney World to keep the people there. Unlike Disneyland who has had to compete with new parks int he past 20-30 years. I hope one day that they drop the stupid circus tents and finally give the Magic Kingdom truly themed facades, like the Pooh one they just did.

You are in disney world for more than a day because of all of the scenery. I love how they take their time and i think Tower of terror at wdw is better than disney land

I mean right now, in quality, Disneyland wins. In terms of value, Disney World wins. 4 parks that are truly immersive, dining plans that have 2 meals and a snack for each day of your stay and the value resorts at 90 dollars a day is a steal. My whole vacation in 2010 was all under 1000 and we went for 5 days. We stayed in a great hotel (All Stars Sports Surf Building), had a reservation at really nice restaurants each day except once, and had 4 days of parks and 1 day to shop and rest. Well worth the $1000 to me but I'm not going to lie, I do not like Avatar and I don't look forward to seeing it built at Animal Kingdom.

Let me clarify myself.
Best Theme Park hands down goes to Disney World/Disneyland
Best Amusement Park goes to Cedar Point/Kings Island (haha you expect me to leave it out?)
I might be going to Cedar Point next summer or in 2013 with my church (older kids in the youth) so :D

I would agree with that. Bizarro is extremely underrated. It's a good looping coaster that's fast-paced, smooth, and just plain fun! I wish we could see more floorless coasters built.

Ya Disney world is definitely better don't get me wrong... but u can't really compare prices because California is much more expensive.

Darien Lake is my favorite, despite the fact that it a semi-lame park but it has good decent line of coasters and a big a$$ water park and oh yeah three new lame rinky dink family rides are on their way for the upcoming season as well!

For best amusement park I can't really decide because I haven't been to Cedar Point, but I have to say SFMM. Just from comparing rides thru POV's I have to say SFMM. Lol but since I haven't been to Cedar Point yet I can't really say :p
