According to Screamscape, King's Dominion will be getting A Windseeker and Dinosaurs Alive in 2012. So they're getting a clone of the ride that has been plauged with problems and an unsucessful upcharge. Great...

The people who run KD don't use their heads. In 2008 when they built Dominator they said they were coming up with a creative name for it. The name they chose: Dominator the SAME NAME IT HAD AT GEAUGA LAKE. Last August i read a trip report on KD and Hurler Grizzly and Rebel Yell had ONE TRAIN. And as you may or may not know Rebel Yell is a racing roller coaster that has 4 trains. I know none of the woodies are really poplar anymore but still i don't see SFGAm running one train on Iron Wolf in August. And the most shocking was that I 305 also had only one train. Their brand new giga coaster running one train at one of the busiest times of years is pathetic. And now they will get the failed ride the CP, KBF, CW and KI got.
LEAKED!!
WindSeeker is a 301-foot-tall tower that spins riders nearly 30 stories above the Central Virginia Countryside. Seated in two-person swings that will allow their feet to dangle, riders slowly begin rotating in a circular motion as the swings ascend the tower. At the top, the swings reach speeds between 25-30 mph, flaring out almost 45 degrees from the tower.
WindSeeker will be joining Kings Dominion’s “300-Foot Club,” Intimidator 305, Drop Tower and the Eiffel Tower. These iconic and elite attractions help Kings Dominion stand tall above the rest as the Premier Amusement Park in the Mid-Atlantic.

They're $6.5 Million and all of them were delayed! Hopefully those problems are worked out, but they're still extremely expensive.

Well they might have been delayed but your going to complain about that? All new prototypes have had some form of delay in their initial season.
Big deal. Theyre all open now and theyre all working perfectly. And Knotts' version has fixed the only issue remaining.

^ They're basically held together by a rope. Honestly, I would never ride one of these because of all their problems being hid by Cedar Fair.

Smh... They aren't held together by rope.
And Your excuse to not ride it is because they hid issues that shouldn't concern us?
In the future every park would have this type of ride!
It's complete!

Looks nice. The question is will Wind Seekers be more reliable than Skyscreamers?
